Re: USC c/o 2018 Applicants Thread (2014-2015)
Thank you! I moved two weeks ago and had to have my mailbox re-keyed. Needless to say I have been super anxious! I won't have the new key until Thursday. Happy to know I may have a surprise waiting for me9427lls wrote:I hope you'll get in! I went complete on 9/25. My status checker still says complete...LawGirlAtx wrote:Checking in. That's pretty early for USC. Last year there was nothing until late November I think.

I applied on a Friday evening and received the next Tuesday morning, so I guess a little over 24 business hours.

My status hasn't changed since 9/23. Looks like they start reviewing apps in November, so maybe they've started the review process.rebexness wrote:Anyone have a post-complete date change?

I'm probably going to sit out the cycle for a higher LSAT score.
If I'm below USC's 25% GPA, will I have a chance if my LSAT is above their 75% LSAT? I have a 3.34.

nlee noooo, you will kill it this cycle (180fasho) !nlee10 wrote:I'm probably going to sit out the cycle for a higher LSAT score.

On a real note, I'm very curious how to look at these statistics. Are the 25% stats only for non-regular applicants? I'm actually very confused on whether those would even apply to me.
I've got a 3.64 and have been scoring from 163-165ish region, not sure where I will end. Not asking for my chances rather asking to how I should analyze my stats myself according to the various percentiles!
Thanks

Yeah, I'm curious as to how admission works at various percentiles.calmtigers wrote:nlee noooo, you will kill it this cycle (180fasho) !nlee10 wrote:I'm probably going to sit out the cycle for a higher LSAT score.

Thanks for the encouragement! I have a way below 25% gpa (3.34) for USC so I am definitely going to take my time with the LSAT. Assuming their median/75% LSAT stays the same at 166/167, I will not settle for anything less than 168. I am finally hitting low 160's on PT's so I figure a couple a more months until I hit my desired range.

I haven't seen anything on LSN quite yet. I'm hoping we'll see the first decisions before Thanksgiving. Last week seemed a little quiet for decisions all around, especially Monday and Friday, the typical days for decisions. Maybe that means we'll see more this week!HalfStudent wrote:Anyone been accepted yet?? I think they start sending out acceptances at about this time.

Mine's still at "Complete." Updated 11/21 though.HalfStudent wrote:Anyone been accepted yet?? I think they start sending out acceptances at about this time.

Looks like the date on mine changed 11/20. I know they mail decisions. I wonder if they went out Friday or will be going out this week. I live in Texas, so I imagine whenever my decision goes out it'll take a few days to arrive.calibratinggarrus wrote:Mine's still at "Complete." Has anyone else had a date change or received an acceptance letter?

My date changed yesterday, 11/24. I only live about 20 miles from campus, but I'm still at work. If they sent it out yesterday I might get it tonight or tomorrow (assuming that a date change means anything at all, of course).LawGirlAtx wrote:Looks like the date on mine changed 11/20. My date also changed as of yesterday but last year the status checker apparently went from Complete-> Committee first review-> Committee second review-> Final Review ->Decision, so I am not counting on any decisions being sent out yet.

Ahh ok thanks for the info. It'll probably be awhile before anyone here knows then.adw92 wrote:My date also changed as of yesterday but last year the status checker apparently went from Complete-> Committee first review-> Committee second review-> Final Review ->Decision, so I am not counting on any decisions being sent out yet.

Has anyone gone under review yet? I submitted my application on 9/15 and it was complete 9/22. There was a date change to 10/13 (still complete), but there has been nothing since then. I thought they were reviewing in November?
I want some news!!

Nope. I submitted my app a few hours after it went live in September, and mine is still at complete.jlwx wrote:Has anyone gone under review yet?
