Okay, I thought so. The last time I was there that area was under construction so I wasn't sure. I know where I'm dropping my girls off while I'm in class!!!! Totally kidding- they would get doggie abducted they are so cute!everything_bagel wrote:This dog run is actually amazing. As a non-dog-owner I come here pretty much every time I visit NYC to dream of someday dog ownership. There's a surprising concentration of large dogs too...w0w wrote:When I've been in the city I do always see alot of large dogs. I just don't know what people are paying to house them. Lol. Isn't there a dog run in Washington square park?MtnGinger wrote:Checking in. I love Nyu but I am also worried about living in such a large city. If I can get in it will definitely come to COL and if I can find a place for my large dog.

Also rising 1L popping in to say good luck! I'm the (edit: original) OP of the 2017 thread and followed the whole cycle pretty closely, I'm happy to answer any questions I can.
With regards to the fee waivers, I got mine unsolicited in mid September.

Did you hear of anyone soliciting them in the first couple weeks and being successful? I'd like they my app in as early as possible.phillywc wrote:Also rising 1L popping in to say good luck! People definitely solicited them, but I don't remember anyone asking for them super early. There isn't a huge difference between applying September 1st and September 20th but you can give it a go.w0w wrote:Did you hear of anyone soliciting them in the first couple weeks and being successful? Yeah- I mostly just wanted to get it out of the way...but realistically I probably will get it in closer to the 20th. Probably around the same time I submit for H.phillywc wrote:People definitely solicited them, but I don't remember anyone asking for them super early. I'd say just make absolute sure you get your app in before oct scores come out, it seem to make a difference. I was an June taker but only got my app in just after oct scores came out and I didn't get my decision until February.

Oh, that's good to know. I'm definitely *hoping* for a early dec. decision!

Undegrad at NYU, lived in Park Slope about a block from Prospect Park. It's totally beautiful summer and winter, massive and nicer than Central Park (in my humble opinion). Great for cycling, dog walking, sitting by the lake... Live on the west side and pay quite a lot, live on the east side and pay not so much (though getting more and more lately.)w0w wrote:Wow! I love how this thread is already turning into a thread about insane NYC real estate. On that note- anyone know much about prospect park?

Don't you dare to pick on New York like that. Everything about New York is awesome including its awesome weather.hereisonehand wrote:All of this (except who cares about the facilities). Also, the weather sucks in NY. But still, would be awesome to go here.generalmead wrote:checking in! Would love to go to NYU. Great options for PI, beautiful facilities (dat entranceway to Vanderbilt Hall), right across from the always-bustling Washington Square Park...Only downside is the ridic COL in the village and immediate area. Even NYU law-subsidized housing clocks in at around $1,400 a month at the cheapest.
