Priority Track. It's a fee waiver and guarantee to respond with a decision 10 days after you submit. It's mostly given out unsolicited, but apparently you can sometimes also get it just by asking nicely (or by asking for a merit-based fee waiver).
So yeah, pretty sweet.

I literally have trouble with 90% of the acronyms used on TLS so no worries.

Is this a relatively new thing or do people just not use it? Better to just email and ask along with a fee waiver?
I **think** that's for people who have already been invited to apply via priority track (edit: as opposed to for people requesting priority track). see
last year's thread

Can you only receive PT if you took the June Lsat or earlier? Do more typically go out after the September/October test?

If your gpa is 3.6 and you have a 169+ I bet you would get one. That's not a bad gpa at all.

I'm going to be SO EXCITED if I get PT. Having a T-14 acceptance so early in the cycle would be awesome. Not getting my hopes up though

You'll definitely get one with your numbers, I think.

From what I've read it seems to be kind of random... people with all sorts of above-median #s get it while other don't, with no discernible rhyme or reason

can anyone explain what the lsdas GPA is? I know that may be an ignorant question but I see it now and then in different places.

Oh, yeah I see that from last year's thread now. That sucks

It's the GPA used for law school admissions at pretty much all schools. It's calculated by LSAC after you submit your transcripts and can be very similar or quite a bit different from your school GPA.
You can also try to use
this calculator.

This is probably revealing my neuroticism a bit too much, but that calculator is credited, and I know because I've sent in transcripts three different times (before I would ever need them) and the calculator has given me spot-on predictions every time.
It can be different from your degree GPA if you have WF's, A+'s, classes you've retaken/replaced the grades, or just if your school uses slightly different GPA numbers (e.g. 3.7 vs. 3.66 for an A-). Schools will only care about your LSDAS GPA and won't care about your degree GPA.

Probably due to differences in rounding, the calculator gave me a 0.01 higher GPA than LSAC haha.

Ooh I hope that happens to me when I send in my last summer transcripts. I'm 0.01 away from H's median haha.
