Hahaha thank you for the credit 8)

Top 5 btw - I really like Cornell but SO's career options would be limited by the location.
Largest Native American population of any of the T14, plus love the idea of Ithaca. Only downfall for me is it's currently the most expensive school in the country.

I thought the blog Spivey posted had Cornell as the most expensive. Regardless it's a lot of money

It's totally zeroed out by COL though. Don't let this dissuade you!!

Columbia is ridiculous. Highest tuition + high cost of living. Great employment stats though.

Well, not "totally." Depends on what you're comparing it to. Schools like UVA and Duke have lower tuition and similar (if not lower) COL. But really, COA is something you should be looking at after getting accepted and receiving your FA offer. It's still July. Too early to say it's a "downfall" when you don't know your options yet. TBH, Cornell wasn't even in my top 5 when I applied, but it ended up being my cheapest (and best) option.

I have no idea what you're referring to. Source?

Is it this thing? If so, it won't affect you much. Might be a speaker event once in a while. And it says you can study abroad in Egypt, but I'm not sure how current that information is. If you get admitted and you're still interested, PM me and I'll try to find people who know more about it.

I'm going to pick two things that are truly why Cornell is a top choice for me. Not going to overthink it.

What does Cornell require other than the standard stuff and the short answer Why Cornell? Anything? I want to have things ready to go.

Nothing unless they changed something. But I can almost guarantee that there will be a stupid required question asking "who influenced you to apply to Cornell" which you should just answer with "N/A" unless someone in particular actually did tell you to apply.
