Good luck to all the applicants this cycle! I will join the incoming 1L's in trying to answer questions like so many did for us last cycle.

KCMO checking in! Could someone explain this visit stipend? Should I just call admissions? Might make a weekend out of it and see how Busch compares to the K

I believe you have to be admitted to get that offer. Also, IIRC, last cycle people who called and requested it were shot down. You just kind of have to wait and hope they e-mail you the offer.JerryLundegard wrote:KCMO checking in! Could someone explain this visit stipend? Should I just call admissions? Re: WUSTL c/o 2018 Applicants
I don't know about calling, but I emailed about it and was given one. Though, I'm fairly certain that in order to qualify for a visit stipend you have to live at least 200 miles away (no idea how far KCMO is)LET'S GET IT wrote:I believe you have to be admitted to get that offer. I am on the application right now and noticed they have an accelerated, full-tuition early decision option. Is this new or have I just been living in outer space?

Wow that's new. They added ED late in the cycle last go around, and now I guess they've upped it to that. Honestly a smart move on their part.pwmoney wrote:I am on the application right now and noticed they have an accelerated, full-tuition early decision option. If you are accepted ED it looks like you pay nothing in tuition either so that's a pretty sweet deal. Does a WUSTL JD hold water if you want to potentially live/practice on the East Coast?

Depends what your definition of hold water is. We do place decently in DC and NYC, but your grades have there if you are hoping to land BIGLAW out east, (or anywhere else for that matter).JerryLundegard wrote:If you are accepted ED it looks like you pay nothing in tuition either so that's a pretty sweet deal. Re: WUSTL c/o 2018 Applicants
Anyone know how to go about receiving said stipend? I would love to visit. I feel like emailing and asking for a visitation stipend seems a tad trite. Then again, I wouldn't know as well as some of the others on here.rebexness wrote:They have visit stipend for people who aren't admitted. Yeah exactly. I mean I'm from the east coast and I want to return, but I should be able to do so even if I miss the biglaw boat.LET'S GET IT wrote:Depends what your definition of hold water is. Only select admits get the stipend. It would be pointless to ask for it before you've been accepted.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
