Re: Harvard c/o 2018 (2014-2015 applicants)

Post by xylocarp » Tue Jul 29, 2014 9:56 pm

Just added some dates and stuff to the OP (first JS1s, JS2s etc. of the cycle for the past two cycles). tbh just going through the pages of the old threads looking for the first JS2 sort of stressed me out, so expect me to be totally crazy and neurotic ITT...

I stayed up untill 2 in the AM the other night reading last year's thread waiting for the JS2s. It's like a really nerdy suspense novel.

:(

Sorry xylo! That sucks. You're a great OP (those dates...so soon! ) but it makes me sad to think that it has costs!

I think we should have a poll to get our minds off of things! What about reasons people are excited about HLS? (Clinics, class size, Cambridge, who knows what else...?)

I successfully hid TLS use from my SO for SO LONG. But a browser history tells all...

That sounds way sadder/creepier than it is. My SO is just bemused by LS striverdom/neurotica so I try to keep it belowground...

Hehe not stressed out in a bad way. As w0w said, it was like a really nerdy suspense novel.
Good idea, added poll!

I picked students too! It's the network you make. Although, of course the prestige is nice.

I have an irrational fear of bears after watching Grizzly Man and listening to a probably fake version of the recording they talk about in that movie, then reading the whole Wikipedia article on fatal bear attacks. ...the tar is cute though haha

The panda cutestness/utter uselessness measure is dangerously close to 1.

Xylo, I haven't gone near that stuff. I identify with bears (no, not like that) but more in a teddy bear/panda bear/cartoon bear/eating too many berries sort of way.
