Yeah. I withdrew from 6 of the 7. In my case I was fortunate enough to get outright admitted to my top choice. I'm still riding the one because I can make a case to myself that I could potentially see myself attending due to location. A couple wait list withdraws took a little longer for me to pull the trigger than others, but ultimately riding them out didn't make sense in my situation. I was pretty sure I wouldn't choose them over my top choice unless I got some $$$ off the wait list. That is a big "if" to be pushing my decisions into the summer and be taking another person's spot who may love the school.Strongfaithgirl wrote:Currently on 7. are any of you guys withdrawing your applications?

4 WLs for me plus a de facto hold at USC. Withdrawn from all but one.

About 20 applications, not a single waitlist. Either accepted with money or rejected outright.

Chiming in with my 8 waitlists but I have 3 decisions still pending and fully expect to be waitlisted at 2 of those. I have 12 acceptances so far with 3 rejections for the 26 schools I applied to.

Am I overly optimistic in thinking that this cycle will yield a better chance of acceptance off waitlists?Kevinlomax wrote:Sooooo frustrating. Nothing like keeping your hopes up for a 10-15 % chance of acceptance

Any on more than 5 waitlists or am i a special snowflake?
Also, even if you don't have the most waitlists, Kevinlomax is a cool enough name to grant you special snowflake status in my book.

So far I can tie it. I'm 174/3.44 2 years WE top 10 undergrad half-black. Late Jan submit date
I'm not surprised at the dings because my GPA is a joke. I'm not sure if I should wait this out or reapply next year. I have bounced around jobs a bit, so that might hurt too. I was under the impression that my PS was okay and that my recs were good (though I obviously haven't seen them). Any thoughts?

My 8 waitlists just became 7 waitlists. Indiana-B pulls me off the bench and offers a fair amount of money to boot. Hopefully the other 7 see this and realize how truly snowflakey I am.

Does everyone in this thread have at least 1 top 14 acceptance? I have 6 WL and they are all to the top14 schools I applied to.

Re: Can anyone beat 5 Waitlists?
I have none but I didn't apply to any of the top 14. With the current state of applicants I can see why they would be willing to use the waitlist more than in the past. I see you are an URM and from what I can gather they are very unpredictable cycles and patience on those waitlists may end up paying off. Good luck, hope you get a few.Quan292 wrote:Does everyone in this thread have at least 1 top 14 acceptance? I have 6 WL and they are all to the top14 schools I applied to.

Oof. That is rough. You're underperforming your numbers I think. Reapplying may help!!!chickentikka wrote:So far I can tie it. I'm 174/3.44 2 years WE top 10 undergrad half-black. Late Jan submit date
