Re: Northwestern AJD c/o 2016 Applicants
I interviewed on campus I enjoyed the experience and think that it went well. I did not, however, write any addenda. I think that my personal statement captured both my work experience and served to illustrate how I might contribute to the "diversity" on campus. ...I also addressed why NU Law and why AJD. But, we shall see. My LSAT is rough.

Anyone know how the transition from AJD to RD works if we don't make the cut for AJD? Just curious whether the RD decisions will come down along with the AJD decisions or if we'll get bumped into the RD pool for re-evaulation.

Also curious about transition from AJD to RD applicant pool. I hope none of us have to learn more about that process; we'll probably receive guidance in a few hours.

Wow, that was a stellar summary of the program!wojo98 wrote:I'm unequivocally a fan of the AJD. Really ingenious by NU (if you ask me) - provides an avenue to attract candidates with WE that otherwise would be steered to top-10 MBA programs. Brevity (# of summers, condensed course work, smaller peer group) doesn't worry me in the least - all that matters in the current law school model is your 1L grades and your summer as a BigLaw Associate - and the AJD distills the program down to nearly that (or as close to that as is possible with ABA regulations). And anything that shifts the OCI evaluation criteria more towards seller pre-JD WE (rather than exclusively 1L grades) is a net positive (which the AJD does by holding OCI after only one semester - which is much like MBA programs in the timing of recruiting's start).
So yeah, Pros significantly outweigh the Cons (imo) if you have the elite-MBA quality WE (but want a JD).

Thanks! Been a long time fan of the AJD- if only my test score was as strong as my interest hah.coolbean2013 wrote: Wow, that was a stellar summary of the program!
But seriously, good luck all.

Just got a call from a Chicago-based telemarketer. Saw that 312 area code and had a mild heart attack.

Gotcha! I kind of assumed so since EST seems to be the common time zone used on here.Leo wrote:EST, though I'm not sure why since NU is on CST.mx23250 wrote:Is this 4:00 EST or CST we're waiting for?pompoms wrote:Come onnnnnnnnnnnnn 4 o'clock!

It seems like the deadline will be missed....although, something tells me if that was to be the case, he would have tweeted to let us all know..

So Johann would post something if NW was missing the deadline? Is that the thought?

I would imagine either he would tweet it or they would send an email indicating that was the case so that they don't get a ton of frantic calls. They know we're expecting it by today, so I'd assume if they weren't going to release it they would let us know.ejan1621 wrote:So Johann would post something if NW was missing the deadline?
