Another person asked this on the UCLA thread, but I would figure it would be better here -- when should waitlisters send in their LOCI?

I mailed mine on Thursday of last week so it would arrive by April 1st.

I was told by Dean Schwartz not to send one until April. If you haven't sent one already, now is a good time.

Also, are we supposed to forward a new LOR ourselves via email or snail mail or have the letter sent to LSAC so we can waive our rights to see it? Or should we have the new recommender send the letter via snail mail or email to the school so they know we haven't seen it?

Waitlisted at the end of March! I'm above both 75ths so hoping for a spot! Given the right a scholly I would definite go due to a Berk denial. Sent my loci last week. Good luck to everyone.

Went complete 2/4 and hit radio silence since then. Had pretty much given up hope of getting a response, but was WLed today! I have some pretty tempting/exciting/competitive offers from other schools so it would probably take some good money for me to be able to swing it but I'll be writing up a LOCI and riding this out to see what happens as I would love to be in LA come the Fall

Yes, they have already started conducting interviews

I doubt they interview everyone. It might be a select few they are interviewing. However, I could be 100% wrong.

I think only a select few candidates receive interviews. I would just like to know when admissions invited these select few to interview - then we can try to gauge the timeline of the whole process

I think it may be random. Someone I know received it back in Jan/Feb. Others receiving it now, others in the Spring. Not random, but if they want to interview you to get to know you they probably will schedule an interview.

Juding by FB size I think they probably got the same numbers of commitments as last year but they might be trying to go back to their traditional 310-320 class size.

I have no way of knowing but I would guess no because this year they have a lower median and therefore already accepted people they would have rejected/waitlisted last year. But of course last year they had 293 total matriculants and they might be aiming for their usualy 310-320 class size this year. The dean must have mentioned what class size they are aiming at by now. Those who have been accepted should know by now.

Any idea how many WLers there are vs. the percentage of those asked to interview? Also, any idea of the interview questions?
