Hey, I got $33,000 per year with no stipulations other than being in good standing.
They also sent me a link to the mysandiego portal. I have tried several times, but my info doesn't work. I have talked to the IT people three times and the admissions office twice. Is anyone else having problems?

Congrats to those who got in! I just got my admission email and I'm super excited. The only thing is...there wasn't a mention of any scholly...Did you guys get your scholly info in your admission email or was it sent to you later?

Thanks. I got an email a couple hours later with scholly. It's way too early to try negotiating scholly right? I got a significantly better offer from a school of similar caliber, but would rather go to SD.yeslekkkk wrote:They will send you an additional email probably in a couple days

Got my acceptance letter today! Completed 12/2. No mention of a scholarship offer though. Apparently it comes separate? Will they send me email even if I don't get $ so I stop waiting for it?

Congrats!
Thanks! Also, my offer has no stips! Seems like USD is being very generous with scholarships this year. The used to have GPA stips but they dropped them recently. Best offer yet!
Also curious. I was planning on driving down there some weekend soon if I haven't heard of any events coming up.yeslekkkk wrote:Has anyone heard if there's an admitted student event?

Re: USD c/o 2017
Okay, everyone. I just saw the email about campus visit days for USD.
The dates are:
Monday, March 24, 2014
Monday, April 7, 2014
Friday, April 25, 2014
It goes from 8:15-2:30 and the program for the day will include a student life panel, Career Services overview, law school tour, simulated class and a luncheon with faculty and current students. They also offer 15% off at some hotels in the area, in case you're traveling down for a visit.
The email was in the promotions part of my email, so look around a little bit.
I'll probably be going on April 7.

Seems like people are accepted via email, and waitlisted/rejected via snail mail? What are some of your stats for those who have applied and sent/complete/decision dates?
Ive been obsessively checking the status checker, so this would help a ton! Congrats to those who have been admitted!!

They dropped their scholarship stips so I think that's reason enough to apply.w7ldcard wrote:To apply or not to apply that is the question

Re: USD c/o 2017
Checking in! I was accepted in late November with $27,000 per year. I tried negotiating it but they refused... I think I jumped the gun and tried a little too early (its frustrating seeing as people with very similar numbers were getting offers in the $33,000 range). Anyways, I would love to go to law school here because I am from San Diego, but the job prospects are pretty frightening to me (but for the right price and given the fact that the scholly offers come with no stips, I would definitely attend). I am taking the LSAT again in June to see if that will help at all.
On a similar note, given the fact that I am from San Diego and live less than 10 minutes from USD, let me know if you guys have any questions about the city.
Also, any way OP can change the survey on this thread? Its getting a little old

Re: USD c/o 2017
Would it look bad if I request a PDF copy of my admissions letter? I want to use it to negotiate with other schools. Embarrassingly... I think I lost my hard copy... it's not in the stack of my other admissions materials and I'm losing my mind looking for it. Or did they even send an admissions packet? I can't remember... I have the email saved though.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
