Also a UA student, but with an app in at ASU. I read this article just the other night and went "oh shit." Take it with a grain of salt (to say my knowledge of how rankings are determined and how to game the system is limited would be an understatement), but I thought it was interesting.

Regardless of what happens in the rankings, UA and ASU will always place roughly the same in Arizona. Outside of Arizona is a crap shoot for graduates of either school.

If y'all haven't already, I imagine you will be getting some decisions soon as they tend to come out around this time of year.

Should get the scholarship info in your official acceptance letter that comes in the mail.

The status checker appears to update the review date periodically according to the C/O 2016 thread. Maybe gaud or some other students can comment on if this means anything?

Ahh the admissions office lied to me! My app is been "complete-released for review" since Oct and she said they are only reviewing Early action apps! This can't be good for me lol

I submitted mid-November, complete and in review shortly after (early December I believe), then no date changes until the email yesterday, though I didn't check the status very often since I had heard that they don't start decisions until late January. I am an AZ resident, applied Regular Decision. Hope that helps!

I was held just before february last year. I never heard anything again till May asking me to be on the waitlist. I agreed and then did not hear anything till August 10th or 11th when i was accepted so brace for a long process.

Does anyone know if there is a way to send in another LOR if you have already submitted your application? I wasn't sure I would get a LOR from a certain (very important) individual and submitted my application before I got it.

according to LSN they have not given out any acceptances in February yet. I am assuming they do it in batches once per month since the last batch of acceptances was 1/29
