Ya unless you want to write scholarship for the rest of your life, I can't imagine picking New Haven over Palo Alto or Cambridge. Cambridge is 1freaking80.Sourrudedude wrote:Well that's half the battle.wtrcoins3 wrote:They do have good pizza.armedwithamind wrote:A festering TTT of a city my friendSourrudedude wrote:Never been to New Haven, what's it like?

Much better than its internet reputation, which remains stubbornly anchored in the mid-1990s (see Dre's post above). I prefer larger cities, but New Haven is perfectly fine for law school.Sourrudedude wrote:Never been to New Haven, what's it like?

New Haven was just ranked the 7th unfriendliest city in the world by CNN. Wow.

Guess that means crossing off YLS on my list.

Probably early Jan. I still gotta take the Oct LSAT and I'm definitely waiting for my grades this upcoming winter term. I'm confident I'm gonna get large gains on my GPA.Dr. Dre wrote:Are y'all just gunna submit your app by feb?

Why so early? Don't they start reviewing the apps all at once in March?The-Specs wrote:I think I will get mine in by Dec 1 at the the latest. I am just waiting on some LoRs and my why Yale Statement. Everything else is done.Dr. Dre wrote:Are y'all just gunna submit your app by feb?

Re: Yale c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
No, people who submit early enough can get accepted even before Christmas (as long as Yale gets their app ready before November). I went complete in mid-January and got the call in February. But you might submit early and wait a long time. When you're asking three law professors per applicant to spend time on something other than their own projects, you're inevitably going to deal with some laggards. Pre-Christmas applicants start getting dings in early to mid-February.Dr. Dre wrote:Why so early? Checking in. Excited about YLS. New Haven...not so much.

I think it's safe to say that if I got into Yale it would be the best day of my life.
