Yes.. but be sure to have something new about you to include in the LOCI (not just the undying love for CLS) .

Yea, that's the hardest part. I'm seriously looking around for new things to include. I don't even have enough for a haiku at this point.

Continuing notifications about the reserve list are through email, yes? As in notifying you if you've been admitted/sent to second reserve/dinged. Or are they still sticking to this "ding by snail mail" silliness?

My roommate was just waitlisted at Columbia Law a few days ago and has a question regarding LOCI. We live in Spain, he would like to know if he should send a LOCI via email to the Dean of Admissions and the admissions committee or if he should print it and send a hard copy instead (which may take considerably more time). What do you think?

i think the LOCI via email is fine. print it out, sign it, scan it, and attach as PDF to email.

Any stats on how many get off the reserve ? When will we hear ?

I browsed through last year's thread and it looks like a select handful of folks were contacted on May 8 (Tuesday) to schedule a brief phone interview with a member of the selection committee prior to being admitted from the reserve list. Hopefully some of us will hear from them this week.

I'm hoping that because NYU just admitted a wave of people off reserve, that Columbia will follow suit, from all those HYS bound people both schools have admitted.

Yep. I actually ED'd to CLS and got reserved. I have a preference for CLS over NYU (though I love them both) - my top choices were always 1. CLS, 2. Penn = NYU (at equal scholarships).

I don't think I'd get enough money from CLS or NYU (if any) to sway me though .
