I was waitlisted and have been preparing my LOCI and today I randomly decided to check the status checker and saw decision letter sent!?!? :{ Eek! and then it says current status date 4/3, is this referring to my waitlist decision? Am I freaking out over nothing. I believe I am, let me check my email...April 10th I received the email about the waitlist..so I'm still on the waitlist right? No new rejection or denial is awaiting me in the mail?

Have you emailed them back wishing to remain on the waitlist? Mine says applicant confirmed on the waitlist the day they received my email.

Whew, yeah, sent them an email and then saw the status change to confirmed on the wait list. I sent my LOCI in the mail, priority Monday morning, hope that wasn't too late, but it was worth the extra time because my draft from the week before really sucked in comparison!

I didn't get a call, and I didn't really write a full LOCI. I replied to the waitlist offer (abt 2 weeks ago) immediately with a very firm response that NYU remained my top choice and I would attend if admitted... I was actually planning to write a full one but they got back to me so quickly, I didn't get around to it yet!

I think next week will be the week we start hearing back (in line with the historical May 14-16th offers).

I totally forgot about NYU. I hope they haven't forgotten about me. i still want them real bad .

No offense intended, but if you forgot about NYU completely, you can't possibly want them that bad. I don't think I've managed to go more than a few hours without the matter on my mind the last couple months. And I'm sure I'm far from the only one hung up on them with such gusto either.

I didn't forget about them completely. It's been my dream school for two years. However, I was also (unexpectedly) WL and Js1'd at HLS so that has taken up a lot of my thoughts / preparation.
