169/4.08. Not retaking because the 169 bested all my practice tests and included acing the most easily-improvable section of the test (logic games). Anyways, so far:
Accepted: Michigan, Northwestern, Chicago
Rejected: Harvard
Pending: Yale, Stanford

Re: Reverse Splitter Results 2012-2013
All of those schools consider the February LSAT as long as you already have a previous LSAT score to complete your application. I confirmed this with the various admissions offices via email. I appreciate your optimism but I'm pretty sure a 168 makes me an autoding at HY and a borderline candidate at the other schools. I think applying with a 171/4.0 is a pretty different (and awesome) situation.az21833 wrote:fyi stanford harvard columbia chicago all dont consider february lsat. everywhere else your # is good enough to get into, save Yale. im 171 4 so in a similar situation.chickpea wrote:This cycle.az21833 wrote:chickpea wrote:3.9/168 (retaking in Feb)

Re: Reverse Splitter Results 2012-2013
It's 96th or something like that, which is obviously extremely high, but then again a 168 is still below the 25th percentile at most of the T7. In some ways it's ridiculous that we consider ourselves reverse splitters with 168's but I think this says more about the crazy high standards we try to meet than anything else.az21833 wrote:isnt 168 like 98th percentile LOL

Re: Reverse Splitter Results 2012-2013
168 = 96th percentile
Sorry, LSAT between median and 25th for a lot of the T14 with GPA above 75th percentile.
What would you define as a reverse splitter?

Re: Reverse Splitter Results 2012-2013
I thought anything below Median LSAT and above Median GPA was reverse splitter. Obviously, whether anyone qualifies as a reverse splitter depends on the schools that they have applied to.Aawaldrop wrote:168 = 96th percentile

Re: Reverse Splitter Results 2012-2013
in that case i am a reverse splitter at Yale, Harvard, Columbia... i dont think the people who started this thread intended to see something like - Accepted: Chicago, NYU, Stanford, Boalt. Pending: Yale, Harvard. Something tells me that was not their intent.

Re: Reverse Splitter Results 2012-2013
I'm sorry if i misunderstood the purpose of this thread. My intention was just to find other people whose GPAs give them a leg up in the admissions process but who have LSAT scores that are comparatively weaker than their GPAs (at least according to the medians of the schools we're each applying to).az21833 wrote:in that case i am a reverse splitter at Yale, Harvard, Columbia... i dont think the people who started this thread intended to see something like - Accepted: Chicago, NYU, Stanford, Boalt. No worries. I think the issue is that some of the people in this thread (myself included) would be happy with that score, but I did say I trust your judgment. And this is TLS.chickpea wrote:I'm sorry if i misunderstood the purpose of this thread. Re: Reverse Splitter Results 2012-2013
I actually came to this thread specifically to see if there were any 168/4.0 reverse splitters. Those were my numbers before I retook. I'll be interested to see how your cycle goes,cbarlow1016 wrote:seriously.az21833 wrote:you arent a reverse splitter.Aawaldrop wrote:168/4.0 Trying this cycle but probably retake and next cycle

Re: Reverse Splitter Results 2012-2013
az21833, I agreed with your original assessment. seen you all over and this is no place for either of us. being just below median one one criteria does not qualify one as a splitter/reverse splitter at all. "splitter" should be below 25th in one category, and for a broad range of schools, not just the reach ones. those are the data that will help potential applicants with a low number make an educated decisionaz21833 wrote:okay my mistake everybody for some reason i thought reverse splitter referred to a much more specific subset of applicants but it appears i was mistaken. im 171/4 so count me in to the fray haha. so far have nyu uva ($$$$) boalt duke and kentucky. pending all other t-14s and cincy area schools

Re: Reverse Splitter Results 2012-2013
I think they really do consider themselves reverse splitters at say HYS. I know that this forum was originally intended for people below 164, but the op of the forum changed due to people being upset and said that any "reverse splitter" can post. There should be another forum for really high reverse splitters or something so we can all be happy.andres wrote:How are some of these numbers reverse splitters???
