I'd rather not say where I transferred here. If you really want to know you can PM me.
Rutgers isn't really all that competitive in the first place which is nice because you can focus on trying to learn the law without dealing with all of the unnecessary drama. As for the caliber of students, there are some students that are there as a second career (older students) that may have more pressing matters - like kids. But overall, most people are very smart and work extremely hard. (not saying that older students aren't smart, but they have other time commitments). There is really no telling how you will do on exams anyway. I read 80% of the cases, never volunteered to participate in class (professors do add a bump if you participate though), and missed a few days each semester, but I had a great study group that helped me vocalize the ideas.

Were they back-to-back emails or was there a bit of a time gap? I ask because I got my email late in the day.
And Congrats to you as well!

159/2.45 with 3.75 degree GPA. Bad first few years, then over 3.8 once I went back full-time after a gap in enrollment. Lots of softs.
I've been pleasantly surprised at how well my grade trends and other softs have helped me out. LSP had me as a straight deny at all three schools I've gotten into thus far. I'm proof positive it's not ONLY LSAT/GPA when decisions are made.

Eh. Doesn't look too good for money for me then. I'll give them a call in the morning.
Thanks!

I'm not sure if I'll make it to ASD, the campus is about two hours from me so getting up there at 930am is going to be kind of tough. I'd have to leave my house around 7am to sit in traffic forever.

I was wondering if someone could share some information with me. I got into Rutgers Newark and was hoping to receive at least a small scholarship. I never got an email and there was nothing in my acceptance packet about it. So, I am going to assume that I am not being offered one. I have a 3.75 ugpa and a 159 on my LSATs. In addition I had a double major and was President of a few clubs during my undergraduate life. Is this something that I should have realistically expected a scholarship with? If so, do you think that Rutgers will negotiate with me if I call them up? Thanks.

I just went complete a couple of days ago, and I pray that they get back to me that quickly. But of course they probably have plenty of back-up from the winter break to go through.

are you above the medians? i think most schools get back to applicants faster when you're at the top, assuming no YP anyway congrats!

159/2.45 non-traditional. Barely over LSAT median and well below GPA. So don't think that's it...
And thanks for the congrats! Good luck to you!
