There was no blanket scholarship for the class of 2015, the class also increased, yet the numbers were maintained.
However, like I said before- everyone should just go to Harvard.

Closer to Davis not Hastings IMO...Golden Bear 11 wrote:Bigger class size for c/o 2016 + no blanket scholarships = numbers are going to drop. At best, Irvine will probably be = Davis/Hastings
I'm applying hoping to see some decent $$$, anyone know how the treat alum's vs. other candidates?

I don't know about this "155s [sic] and lower" biz, but it could just be a substantial number of reverse-splitters - if it's true at all.Wishfulthinker wrote:Is UCI really accepting people with 155s and lower or were those just URMs? I saw a few people on here with 3.7/ 161+ never getting off the waitlist last cycle.Every school has a propaganda ministry but Irvine has gone way too far. For example someone above was claiming 165-167-170 scores. That's nonsense, UCI was admitting 155s and lower for the 2015 class and MANY OF THEM, which I suspect why they aren't releasing their 2015 profile( they know they go no shot making top 20 with their GPAs and LSATs). They were claiming they had job placements as good as stanford, harvard and yale which is absurd, they only had a small class of 40 people or so. That's where it comes from.
UCI is the truth.tooswolle wrote:I really don't get where this negativity comes from. By all standards the school is making strides to beat out much of its competition in its respective market. It has a highly regarded faculty and from what has been disclosed pretty good employment statistics.

Hey! I sent my application to UCI law about a month and a half ago. I was checking old emails and can't seem to find one from them redirecting me to their status checker. Do they have one or do they tell us by phone/email like UCLA?

I applied last year and didn't have one. They may have added one this year but I believe I have seen somewhere in the TLS world that they did not.Mdenis1 wrote:BumpMdenis1 wrote:Hey! We get assigned lawyer mentors, student mentors, and are getting recognized all around. Our employment stats for the class 2012 are ridiculous. It will be up soon but it was above 85. Polled around our lsats are aaround 165/167/170 so you should all get yo shit together and apply. I'm dead serious look at my name Im your amigo. Just friendly advice.
.....if this person is really a UCI student, s/he does not reflect well on the school....I mean, come on, the post pretending to be a UCD student is so transparent - it reminds me of something a child would do thinking it would trick someoneTthug wrote:Yeah son, I took UCD's offer last year and I regret it. Our upper class men tell us that they are getting beaten out of the the job market by UCI Law students. It's ridiculous UCI is not supposed to be this good it just opened up. I'm thinking about transferring next semester davis really really sucks. It's cool for public interest, but other than that I don't see much of an opportunity.

Does anyone have UCI's bar passage results for July 2012 California bar?
I'm trying to find stats off State Bar of California's website but found nothing.

Anyone know how UCI informs of acceptances and rejections if not through a status checker?
Would be nice to get a phone call.

Re: UC Irvine c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
I thought I should share a story of my friend (of course with his permission). To him (and me as well), UCI Law is simply a law school that is different. UCI Law really had all to lose in accepting him... but they did... My friend can describe it better in his own words though:

I'll create another thread in UCI Law 2016 Class when that is created. I hope you enjoy his story. He has personally inspired me and others here at UCI Law...
