wow, their medians have never been above 166 so i think your rejection was a fluke of some sort... youre pretty signficantly above their highest medians..ndirish2010 wrote:No, no, no...I was just saying that if a solid T25 like BC has a 164 median, that is unbelievable how far things have come down from when I applied. I was flat out rejected from BC with a 3.68/168. Though it may be because they secretly resent me for transferring out in UG.TheThriller wrote:Don't like ND?ndirish2010 wrote:Medians are down far enough for BC to be at a 164? Re: BC 2012-2013 Applicants
I have no doubt it was a fluke, but I remembered the median being 167 so I rationalized it in that way. No offense to BC obviously, I was just scrolling through the thread and saw that 164 comment and was super surprised. Not sure I would have come if I were admitted, but I was highly considering it.AlanShore wrote:wow, their medians have never been above 166 so i think your rejection was a fluke of some sort... youre pretty signficantly above their highest medians..ndirish2010 wrote:No, no, no...I was just saying that if a solid T25 like BC has a 164 median, that is unbelievable how far things have come down from when I applied. I got the same response this morning right after I asked that question. It was really anticlimactic.AlanShore wrote:haha thanks for the update.. i guess ill email them in a couple daysiMisto wrote:I requested a fee waiver... they responded by telling me they'd get back to me as soon as possible. Thank you so much! I freaked out too and came here to check this thread.cgaffney09 wrote:I just called admissions because I was freaking out too. The lady on the phone said that it was a mistake and they hadn't noticed it. They should be fixing it shortly. I think it is supposed to say that they will accept an additional 2 documents, but that only 2 LORs are required. I feel sooo much better now.

Checking in.

At least they promise a response within 8 - 12 weeks of going complete. Other schools stretch that shit out to high heaven.AlanShore wrote:My app is complete. December seems so far away!

Missouri resident checking in! I wonder if the lower medians indicate a greater chance of acceptance for this cycle. I am sure it doesn't hurt, but I wonder if it helps, just how much?

Completely depends on what your numbers are. If you are at or above median, you should be fine. If you are over both medians, you could see some good schollys.michaelm55 wrote:Missouri resident checking in! I wonder if the lower medians indicate a greater chance of acceptance for this cycle. 163/3.4 won't get you in (assuming non-URM), but a 164/3.4 has a decent shot and a 165/3.4 is pretty likely.

Re: BC 2012-2013 Applicants
I have noticed (see Law School Transparency) that BC has very impressive employment statistics given its rank. Perhaps this should not be a big surprise given its proximity to a major market, but for all of us near-50th percentile applicants who will probably pay close to sticker price, this fact could functions as an advantage BC has over comparably ranked schools. Good luck everyone.

Re: BC 2012-2013 Applicants
I agree and this is one strong reason why it's my #1 or #2 choice. I wouldn't say their employment stats are "very impressive" but I guess comparatively, they are better. Still makes me nervous though!michaelm55 wrote:I have noticed (see Law School Transparency) that BC has very impressive employment statistics given its rank.
