this is useful, thanksWell, I'll set it up like an NYU v Columbia feel. I have the NYU bias, but the Village, and in particular the area around the law school, are amazing. You have Wash Sq Park, some great restaurants and nightlife, and it is extremely safe. Columbia is a different feel because the Village draws the hipsters and the tourists, but the UWS is not a bad place to live either. I think you will find that at either NYU or Columbia a lot of the students live a distance away, possibly in pursuit of cheaper neighborhoods or whatever.
The one thing anyone will tell you is to visit the schools - the neighborhoods, and likely the students, have different vibes. Considering how close these schools are in the rankings (assuming you care about rankings), it should be a matter of financial aid, aspirations, and personal preference.

It's not. 2L here, this school is really chill.slack_academic wrote:Curious about this, too.outlookingin wrote:Checking in. This school looks AWESOME. Though can someone explain why this is the most stressful law school of them all?? Somebody's post earlier stated that and nobody challenged it, haha, so I'm just curious
Cof2016 applicant checking in as well. I visited CLS a few weekends ago on a day trip to NYC. While not exactly breathtaking from the outside, I got a chance to explore the law school building and it's quite nice. And it goes without saying that the campus overall is incredible. As of right now I would be thrilled to attend in fall 2013.Emmie wrote:Checking in here! Though not the most beautiful of all law schools...being here would be amazing![]()
