Checking in. Not really hopeful as a splitter, but who knows how this cycle will play out.

Do we know what the criteria to be chosen for priority track are? Hopefully, invitations will be sent soon...

Yep! It's still my top choice unless I get comparable scholly to instate tuition from a t14.outlookingin wrote:shifty_eyed wrote:Checking in. Not really hopeful as a splitter, but who knows how this cycle will play out.

I was just curious if anyone had any idea what percentage of individuals who receive the priority track invitation are accepted? Thank you and good luck to everyone here!

So LSAC indicates that the app becomes "available" on the 25th. Does anyone know if they allow you to submit it right away?

All it really means is that you have an LSAT and/or GPA that makes you competitive for admission (probably at or above one or more median). LSN is your best bet to guess your own odds.bobr wrote:I was just curious if anyone had any idea what percentage of individuals who receive the priority track invitation are accepted? I think you are. I started my app for Tulane on Monday (first day it opened) and it looked like if you had all of your materials you could submit it right away.banjo wrote:So LSAC indicates that the app becomes "available" on the 25th. Does anyone know if they allow you to submit it right away?

Congrats on getting that priority track! Yeah I don't think it is as hard and fast as simply your numbers, as I am above one or both medians (3.75/175) and have not received it. I was checking the thread from last year and there are more like me. Then again, I am a white male.. could that be doing it? I don't really know how it breaks between non-URM girls and boys--are we treated equally? I've heard boys have a slight advantage at some schools like Harvard because more girls have their shit together etc. but that might have been a silly, silly rumor. Someone please confirm/deny.shifty_eyed wrote:All it really means is that you have an LSAT and/or GPA that makes you competitive for admission (probably at or above one or more median). Outlookingin, you might want to check that you are signed up for the LSAC Candidate Referral Service if you haven't been getting other emails/fee waivers from law schools. Most top law schools seem to have more men than women, so I think if anything, males would be at a slight disadvantage.outlookingin wrote:Congrats on getting that priority track! Yeah that would make the most sense. I'll get on to checking that CRS thing, but I was under the impression that since I've gotten the UCLA invite that I must already be signed up??

Definitely not a gender thing with the priority track. If anything, males are at a disadvantage at the top schools. Men take the LSAT in greater numbers and tend to score higher. If you're bored, http://www.lsac.org/lsacresources/resea ... -10-03.asp.

Re: Duke c/o 2016 Applicants Thread (2012-2013 Cycle)
Not sure. I did a quick search on my phone, but couldn't find any evidence that they are. It looks like it was just one large batch on the 18th last year. If there was another batch, I imagine it would have gone out with the "CRS wave" of fee waivers etc. which usually follows the October LSAT. So I could be completely wrong, but I think those of us who didn't get the e-mail today missed the boat, at least for a while. ETA: Unless you meant "rolling throughout the day," in which case I don't think it matters what I say since the day is pretty much over lol.ChampagnePapi wrote:Are the PT emails rolling?
Oh well. Congrats and good luck to everyone who received PT invites today. Should be interesting to watch decisions come out as early as a few weeks from now.

No love from Duke for me today. 3.9X/low 170s.

I talked to a friend today who said he got his invite the day after they started going out last cycle...so maybe there's still a little hope?Lavitz wrote: I could be completely wrong, but I think those of us who didn't get the e-mail today missed the boat

If true, then yes, we could definitely see more invites sent out tomorrow. I just didn't remember seeing any posts explicitly stating that in last year's thread.Eichörnchen wrote:I talked to a friend today who said he got his invite the day after they started going out last cycle...so maybe there's still a little hope?
I had already accepted that I wasn't getting an invite, but now you had to go and get my hopes up again

weird, your numbers are CRAZY good... do they hand-select PT candidates?Lavitz wrote:Not sure. I did a quick search on my phone, but couldn't find any evidence that they are. Not sure if it matters, but I solicited a couple of weeks before getting the PT and got the 'we search CRS' response. My numbers are far worse than some people on here who didn't get PT. Not sure if soliciting unsuccessfully still put me on the radar. Just a thought.
