Re: Penn C/O 2016 Applicants (2012-2013 Cycle)
Does anyone else find the unpredictability of Penn's yield protection policy a little infuriating? From the LSN graph it looks like I'm in waitlist territory, floating in a sea of yellow. Anyhow, I'll be visiting Philly/ Penn's campus later this week, so hopefully I can get some more info on their admissions policy by then.

Any word on Penn fee waivers?
Edit: Just checked the Hidden Fee Waiver thread, seems the fee waivers will be waiting for those of us who qualify.

About to send in my ED app here. Wrote the Optional DS Essay, just debating whether or not I should write the Dean Fitts essay as well, or if its really unnecessary for an ED app already with 1 of the optional essays.

I'd write it if you have something good to say. I talked with an admissions officer there for like half an hour and the impression I got is that the more info on yourself you can give them the betterSaintsTheMetal wrote:About to send in my ED app here. In previous years didn't Penn require at least one supplemental essay??I was glancing over this years application and it looks as if they are optional??

Checking in! Just sent my app in yesterday. I was torn with my ED between UVA and UPenn. In the end I felt that UPenn was the only school (On my list) that I would feel no regrets if I pulled an Admit from the ED. If you want to follow my cycle here is my LSN info: Griffneedslaw

Made the same call a couple years ago. Now, as I'm going through OCI, I couldn't be happier with the choice I made. Good luck, everyone!Nickg415 wrote:Checking in! Just sent my app in yesterday. Following closely. Slightly worse GPA but hoping for a slightly better LSAT come October. I hope to make the same decision you did, brother.Nickg415 wrote:Checking in! Just sent my app in yesterday. Has anyone who is applying this cycle figured out how to change your cycle from 2011-2012 to 2012-2013? I just notice that my account reads that I am applying for the former!

When you sign into LSAC, go to Edit My Profile, then CRS (this is all on the left side), then Edit CRS Preferences.Nickg415 wrote: jjpp wrote:

Re: Penn C/O 2016 Applicants (2012-2013 Cycle)
Is it possible to apply this week RD, but then switch to the January ED depending on the results I get elsewhere? I expect to have all of my apps in this weekend. I'm in WL territory with 170/3.6, but I would still prefer to apply broadly and use the ED last-ditch. Should I just hold the Penn app until later?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
