I just did a quick calculation based on the number of acceptance reported on law school number. The average number of application received over the past three years is around 5500 per year, and the number of applicants listed on lsn for Michigan is around 800 this year, which gives the estimate of about 15% applicants listing themselves on lsn. There are around 286 acceptance reported so far, and the average class size at Michigan law is around 360. Assuming that applications who are more likely to get in are more inclined to list themselves on lsn and most of them get multiple nice offers, I just hope all of us will have a shot at getting off the wl!

If you find a way, let me know. I'm guessing we won't get any concrete info until very late April or early May. If anyone does get info though, please post it here so that we all can benefit!

I doubt you'll get Summer Start from the waitlist.

From what I understand, the summer class was pretty much solidified already. Even people that have already been admitted that wanted to switch from Fall to Summer were unable to do so because the class was full. If you get in off the waitlist it will be for fall start. (This is just my observation and I don't have any direct knowledge other than the conversations at ASW with other admits and on TLS)

I guess it can always remain a possibility but do you live in Michigan? Moving on such short notice would be really hectic I would imagine. I'm moving at the end of this week, I knew it was coming for months and I still don't feel completely prepared.

Ok, guys, it is officially April 30, the deposit deadline for Summer Start. Best of luck again to all still hanging in there as we enter the period of time in which we might actually hear things, and remember to post any news (accepted, released from waitlist, new information, etc) here for everyone's benefit. We shall brave this together!

Hey folks! The time is finally here! The first deposit deadline, yay. My guess is we won't hear anything for a couple days as they make the final tallies - remember the deadline is a postmark date so the checks could still come trickling in for a few more days. At this point just cross your fingers and hold tight!

Yup! Saw this earlier this morning. Exciting! Any news on the FAQ page is exciting. I hope they have spaces opening up soon. I'd be interested in seeing if any summer start positions open up, despite many of those being ED'ers.

Just the very first paragraph - it says that their deadline has passed so they are now reviewing submissions to see if any spots have been made available. It's nothing we don't already know, but an update is an update.

NEW UPDATE!!!! Preliminary indications are that they will be going to admit about 10 new people!! Good luck all! It says they will be contacting people by telephone. Make sure to keep everyone updated on here!!
