the adcomm is typically comprised of humans. I would think that the biggest reaction your mistake will elict is a chuckle and a muttering of "poor, dumb bastard." But I really don't think they will give you any less consideration based on just that. If your numbers are good, I wouldn't worry.

Not really, if they think OP has a good chance at getting into the other school he mentioned like say one school was Univ of Mich and the other was Detroit Mercy... if Mich thought OP had a good chance of getting into Mercy they might say "enjoy Mercy" and put OP in the reject pile.
