Since Stanford’s colors are semi-Christmasy, I am trying to come up with a way to paint my nails all cute with Stanford pride. Will report back with the results.

True. And they have that dancing Redwood which looks A LOT like a Christmas tree.

Wow, I love the enthusiasm on here-nail polish and everything!

Glad that the ASW review from last year was helpful. I started a new taking questions thread so hopefully it will answer some of your questions about SLS -> thread here

It already has a bunch of answers to 1212's questions (although I did edit them for grammar a bit before posting).

Also, regarding staying at Munger during ASW: I think last year admissions organized pairing people up when you RSVP'd. I just stayed with the same guy I stayed with during that first visit, so you don't need to go through admissions to do so. I know some people last year stayed at Munger because they knew people even after admissions ran out of hosts. (I'm sure you'll all get spots but if for some crazy reason you don't, let me know and I can connect you with someone with an empty couch/air-mattress, your preference on female or male roommates of course.)

Checking in, still in a state of shock! Though I got accepted to Harvard last week, it's going to be really tough to dissuade me from Stanford as I've been a CA kid my whole life. Thanks to Stig for the wealth of info and thanks to Amanda for posting a pic of the shirt (can't wait for mine)!

Just got the email. Can't believe I'm actually posting here--this is a dream come true! still wavering between Stanford and Harvard, but ahhh! will probably spend hours reading up on comments (Stig, your comments are incredibly helpful, thanks so much!). I want more than anything to make it to an ASW, but it might not be financially feasible from where I'd have to fly in from

also: T-shirts that actually fit?! my my.

Congrats! From where are you flying? There was a $400 flight stipend last year...hopefully you'll make it!
