I expect it's rather standard.

Re: UCONN applicants 2011-2012
I had a dream last night that I woke up and checked my status and I had been accepted. Then I actually woke up and checked my status and it was still just "application complete". Why must my brain torture me so?

The status tracker now says they will be reviewing apps and hopefully making some decisions by mid-December. Mine had said January.

Checking in. I successfully solicited a fee waiver the other day and I just submitted my app this morning. Good luck, everyone!
I'm from the west coast and currently live in the midwest. I've never been to Hartford (or even CT, for that matter), so can anyone give me an idea of what kind of city Hartford is like?

I've only been up there a couple times. Hartford has some bad areas I hear but there's a lot of legal opportunities just minutes from the school. The school itself is on the border of West Hartford and Hartford, with West Hartford being a very nice neighborhood.nickjive wrote:Checking in. Overall, nice area IMO with maybe a few streets you should stay away from? Lol

I don't know if you read before where I posted but scholarship review doesn't begin until February at UCONN. So your admissions decision will come now with the scholarship information much later.SUCO wrote:Also under review as of December 1st.. I hope we're the A team that'll be getting the scholarships

Yeah kind of realized that later on. Also I heard they don't give renewable scholarships, pretty disappointing.

Their website says they are giving out 10 full rides this year and calling them "Connecticut Scholarships." Does anyone know anything about this? In this past I have seen very few people go there full ride, but based on my own personal situation I would take that offer in a heartbeat.SUCO wrote:Yeah kind of realized that later on. Complete as of last night! Good luck to you all! I'm hoping to try to stay busy and keep distracted from the status checker, but we'll see how long that lasts.. lol
