CU is one of my top choices...though it's sort of a reach for me. I would LOVE to live in Boulder. Does anyone know anything about scholarship $? I tried to do some research on LSN and TLS stats but the #s seem really random.

Doesn't seem random to me; just need to be above at least one median (164/3.64) or last cycle (164/3.60).

Also applying to CU-Boulder, checking in! Good luck to all applicants this cycle.
Did anybody notice/have a problem with the Personal Statement? I know that last year it was all rolled up into one essay. This year, they split what they were asking for into 2 essays. The first of which REQUIRES you to explain why you are pursuing law and the second of which is optional.
This kind of caught me off guard. Especially since all my other applications seemed to ask for a general personal statement without any designation as to what needs to be included (except for UNC). Thoughts?

Mine touched on it briefly, but it wasn't my main point.hadisious wrote:Also applying to CU-Boulder, checking in! Good luck to all applicants this cycle.

my general personal statement was all about my reasons for wanting to attend law school, so i ignored the requirement.

I'm writing a new PS that focuses on why I want to study law. And I think I'll submit my other one as the supplemental. Did anybody else also do the supplemental statement?

Re: CU-Boulder Applicants Class of 2015
Can anyone verify those new medians (164, 3.64)? They are not listed on the website.
On scholarships-- seems like everyone here is either paying full price or has some odd combo of money that, at the end of the day, equates to about a 15k to 20k a year price tag all averaged out. I've only met a couple people who have admitted to being on full-rides. By are large the culture here would make it very awkward and difficult to discuss these things openly (I've gleaned my info from drunken admissions that were ((ironically)) very much meant to be kept quiet).

Do all the essays. I think CU yield protects, so even if you have great numbers you want to make it clear that you are very interested in CU. I can't stress enough that your 100 extra hours on your application will save you 50k or 60k in tuition.hadisious wrote:Also applying to CU-Boulder, checking in! New medians are 164/3.64 according to Colorado's admissions office. Last cycle's acceptance rate has not been released, but CU did have an increase in applications even though it was a down cycle for most law schools.

No status check. Meh, no biggie. I won't expect anything until after the December LSAT score comes in.anozira wrote:Negative on the status checker as well.

Checking in here, finally posted my app today. ED'd as CU is my first choice and I'm a big splitter (164/2.25(4.0)) and a non-trad. Good luck everyone!
