Haha Im sure there is, but its not in my face so it doesnt really bother me.
also, I dont really do a lot of work with other people as I know a lot of people do, so my view may be skewed.

Yeah, I suggest not doing work with other people at this point.

Applied but so far haven't even gone under review yet. Got my app in 10/24. Since I'm neurotic I made a chart of where I applied, when they start reviewing apps, and how long they take to review. Pitt says "several weeks." Yeah, that basically means an eternity.

I think I went under review in late December and got my acceptance in early May? Not sure on this tho.

I just got off the phone with Linda at admissions. I switched my app from ED to RD back in mid-October (applied super early, went under review 10/19), but she said I should hear something in the next few weeks, definitely by the end of the year.

I was told they have not begun reviewing any RD applications yet. I doubt we'll hear anything till next year.

It's possible, but that's not what I was just told.

Has anyone done a school visit at Pitt yet this year? Was it worth the time to travel in?

Hope you enjoy your visit, I'm very biased but I think Pittsburgh is a wonderful city... part of the reason I'm seriously considering Pitt even though my numbers are slightly better than Pitt's usual range

I'm a current Pitt 1L. Last year I applied as soon as the October LSAT scores came out. I went under review in early December, got accepted in mid-January. I had a high GPA for Pitt's standards but a mid/slightly higher than average LSAT. I hope this helps!
I also suggest not to worry at all this year. Enjoy it while you can. You have a lot of time to worry about everything next year, trust me.

Is there anything I should check out that is close to the school (besides the "O" or obvious bars) on my visit next week? This is looking like one of my top 3 choices now. I'll be with my finace who is from the area, but she doesn't know the city itself as well as other parts of western PA.

Check out Shady Side. I guess you would call it a village. A lot of law students live down there and theres plenty of places to kill a couple hours with food or drink.

Its nice. I wish Id lived there and prolly will next year. I chose to live in Oakland (where the school is) because I could walk to class. Its nice, but Shady Side is nicer and has more going on.

You can take a drive up to Mt Washington and enjoy the view of the city from up there; it's pretty spectacular. Primanti Brothers is also a place to check out for some food if you want to join in the craze. Most of us who lived there stopped going after a few times, but out of towners seem to love to check it out. You can also take a walk through the Cathedral of Learning (very impressive building).
For the living situation, obviously check out Shadyside and North Oakland. I'd stay away from South Oakland unless you love drunk undergrads and keg parties all the time. I believe that Pitt students still have free use of all mass transit in the city (so that makes Shadyside and Squirrel Hill attractive options since getting to campus won't be hard) and the University also has dedicate shuttle buses serving North Oakland. You can also check out the South Side, but stay away from the flats (the area near all the bars) for obvious reasons.

This was another question I had. I'd rather not have to drive my 4x4 to class every day. It's not such a big deal to drive it here in Arizona since I work from home. Glad to see Shady Side has other options for getting to campus. Thanks for all the tips, guys.

Sooo... I applied to 16 schools on 11/2 (at about 3 AM), I've been complete at all of them BUT Pitt. Should I send an inquiring e-mail as to if there is any reason I'm not complete / do they need something else?
I guess this could have 2 effects:
My file ends up becoming / complete / reviewed quick
OR
Them thinking, damn this kid is annoying lol
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
