Have you guys been to look at BU that are applying ED? I can't imagine spending 3 years of my life there. It's quite the unsightly place. Not that looks matter when choosing a school but you just feel trapped.
I went precisely because I didn't want to ED and end up somewhere just like that and boy am I glad I visited.

i've heard this a lot. but i love the city/have connects so i think i could put up with the law school itself being really unaestheticJoeMo wrote:Have you guys been to look at BU that are applying ED? Yeah, I'm from Boston Metro, so I really wanted to go here because it is a great school and I love Boston. However, the law school leaves A LOT to be desired. It's not just that it's not aesthetically pleasing, it's like a dungeon. It also has one of the smallest libraries I have toured, part of which is in the basement. I mean, I'm not trying to stop you from going there if your heart is set on it. I just remember thinking to myself "I wonder how many people apply and come here blind only to find this craphole when they get here?"butchcassidy wrote:i've heard this a lot. but i love the city/have connects so i think i could put up with the law school itself being really unaestheticJoeMo wrote:Have you guys been to look at BU that are applying ED? Will probably apply since I have a fee waiver, although Boston College sounds more my style.

Was your waiver need-based? They denied my request for a merit-based one, which sucks.Cornelius wrote:Will probably apply since I have a fee waiver, although Boston College sounds more my style.

What's with all the Disney character avatars? Did I not get the "BU Applicants Avatar Guidelines" memo?

No, I got a merit-based BU waiver. Looked like a generic mass-mailed CRS email.Killingly wrote:Was your waiver need-based? They denied my request for a merit-based one, which sucks.Cornelius wrote:Will probably apply since I have a fee waiver, although Boston College sounds more my style.

Well, BU approved my need-based waiver request, so I'm applying.

Idk, I generally don't care at all about how it looks really. Personalities of the actual people means more to me than pretty trees as far as that is concerned (I've never been there though)JoeMo wrote:Yeah, I'm from Boston Metro, so I really wanted to go here because it is a great school and I love Boston. No, I definitely agree that generally speaking the way a school looks shouldn't matter. My first choice is UVA and that's not the prettiest campus either. But being there, I felt trapped inside a dungeon. I mean, obviously people go there and have very successful careers so the education is great but I just don't know if I could do it.ThreeRivers wrote:Idk, I generally don't care at all about how it looks really. My status has been stuck on "Holding for October LSAT" since 10/27. I got the status checker email on 10/19. Are they just being slow processing the new LSAT reports? Anyone else have this?
