Each school chooses the frequency they request/receive reports. Some schools daily, some weekly, some twice a week, etc... Also, some schools are completely paperless and use the electronic app, while some request paper copies of everything. Hence, the difference.RaleighStClair wrote:Anyone know why some schools take a while to complete, while others go almost immediately? I think Santa Clara waits for it to come in the mail. After I retook the LSAT, she told me it would be 2 weeks while they waited to get the report from LSAC. A little less than 2 weeks later, I went straight into review.

Re: Santa Clara 2012
I submitted my application on 10/31, was Pending Receipt of CAS from 10/31 - 11/9 and then went complete and in committee on the same day 11/9. I know they print everything out and are not paperless yet so maybe that is why it takes a little longer??
I wonder how long it will take now that it's in committee...

+1. I'm not really finding this annoying, though. They didn't guarantee anything other than a decision by 15 December.Buffer1212 wrote:I've been in review for over two weeks now. Annoying.ensign85 wrote:Any movement?

I think it was a decision by Jan 1 for Early Action Apps - but either way...we still have a few more weeks - looking at LSN it looks like some people found out around Thanksgiving!!ScrabbleChamp wrote:+1. Re: Santa Clara 2012
When I applied there was an issue since I selected regular admission on the LSAC application so I emailed the admissions office and they were able to switch it to early action. The email I got back from a woman in the admissions office said I would get a decision by the end of the month so hopefully some decisions will be out soon.

Well, good news is they wrote back fast. Bad news is we don't know much any more than we did.
Decisions will be sent on a rolling basis. All early action decisions will be sent out by the end of December.

Checking in. My ED app was complete 10/31, and I've been "In Committee" since then, however my status date was updated on 11/18. Does anyone know what that means?

My status says Decision Mailed as of 11/18. Has anyone here received a decision yet?

Re: Santa Clara 2012
A friend that applied last year told me that there is a trick in finding out whether you are accepted or not before your letter is received in the mail. If you're accepted there will be a $ amount that is due in the deposit field. I think if it is all zeros then its a no. But they might have changed it... we'll see.
