Good luck, everyone. I'll be around if anyone needs advice on writing a LOCI that's desperate enough to work.

I want to get into Chicago with every fiber of my being. Just not sure if I should do ED or not. Good luck to everyone, hope to call you all classmates one day.

Aside from the obvious ED to UVA bump, does EDing to anywhere else really matter (e.g. Chicago, Michigan, etc.)?

ED to Michigan certainly helps.UnamSanctam wrote:Aside from the obvious ED to UVA bump, does EDing to anywhere else really matter (e.g. Chicago, Michigan, etc.)?
I'm not certain how big the bump is within CCN, though. My guess is you could find that out pretty easily by comparing RD and ED cycles through LSN.

Lawschoolpredictor.com gave "Consider" for a non-ED student with a 3.75 and a 172, and a "Strong Consider" for an ED student with a 3.75 and a 172. You can take that for what its worth. I didn't notice a big difference on LSN, I'd be surprised if it gave that big of a boost.

Yeah, I doubt the advantage is too significant, if any. But if I have an LSAT that gives me a chance I know it's my #1, and I'd gladly go there over my other options.

And ED kids at Michigan still get $$, whereas I don't think that happens very often in CCN.Hawkeye Pierce wrote:ED to Michigan certainly helps.UnamSanctam wrote:Aside from the obvious ED to UVA bump, does EDing to anywhere else really matter (e.g. Chicago, Michigan, etc.)?

I just saw on LSAC that the application becomes available on August 22nd. I visited the school over the weekend and there is no question now that Chicago is my number one choice. I can't wait!!!

This is how I feel about Michigan. If I get a good enough score my ED is probably going to Michigan, but in reality my preference order istmon wrote:But if I have an LSAT that gives me a chance I know it's my #1, and I'd gladly go there over my other options.
UChi = Mich > Penn > NU > UVA > Cornell > Vandy > ND > IUB > UIUC > BC > BU > W&L
Chicago is the greatest city ever, though.

Yup. Although of course there is the added stipulation of a mandatory summer start (which begins late-May).Xifeng wrote:And ED kids at Michigan still get $$, whereas I don't think that happens very often in CCN.Hawkeye Pierce wrote:ED to Michigan certainly helps.UnamSanctam wrote:Aside from the obvious ED to UVA bump, does EDing to anywhere else really matter (e.g. Chicago, Michigan, etc.)?

If anybody has any questions about the Chicago ED process send me a PM. I would say it gives a slight boost, but to be an ED lock you have to have numbers that are competitive for RD.

If you got a Rubenstein but also got into Harvard (but not YS), what would you do? Just wondering. It seems to me like this would be one of the hardest decisions to make. Have you given it any thought?

I guess it depends on your goals.kulshan wrote:If you got a Rubenstein but also got into Harvard (but not YS), what would you do? Just wondering. It seems to me like this would be one of the hardest decisions to make. Have you given it any thought?
I would probably take the Ruby. Minimal debt (i.e., 50-60k) with chances at big law, even at median? Sign me up.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
