I sent a LOCI as well and got a response to that. My status checker listed a new item under "mailings" that corresponds with the waitlist form response, so there's that.

I didn't get confirmation for either my LOCI or my first change of phone #, but when I changed my contact info again, I got immediate confirmation.

240 (or even 225) --> 190 seems like an unusually large decrease, particularly for a school like Duke. If last year was overenrolled what is their usual class size?

It'll definitely be nice to have a more limited competition for jobs, anyway.

Sadly, there is not much to be done at this point. I've already sent the LOCI's, follow up email/calls, etc. Just going to wait it out now, but it seems like the WL is pretty large this yearr so 8-10 ppl is a very small portion. I'd love to get in, but I'm not expecting it.

I was accepted last week off the waitlist and will sadly be withdrawing from their offer. I was completely shocked when I was initially contacted for a phone interview, and even more surprised to be accepted (w/ money at that). Don't give up hope yet! Hopefully someone else will get my spot soon!
