Nothing for me. At least now you have confirmation that they remember you applied.alphamoose wrote:I got a fall grade request ten minutes ago. I guess that's confirmation that they really don't know what to do with us.And this probably means a decision is far off?

I already called yesterday. They send no decision letter had been sent to me yet LOL. Which means we have not made a damn decision on you at all. Which I interpreted as, "Cool, I guess I'll go back to never checking my mail."

Just ask them if they've mailed your decision yet...they won't tell you what it is though.texaskk wrote:Non-Chalant1 wrote:I already called yesterday. Re: The Forgotten- Columbia 2011
Submitted first week of November, went complete the last week of November (the slowest out of any of my applications). Fall grade request 1/11, I've sent a letter of continuing interest, and an update to my resume. Fall grades were perfect, GPA is above their 75th, and LSAT is at their median.
Still nothing. Nothing at all.

I almost wish that I hadn't sent my fall grades voluntarily. At least then, if they had asked for them, I would know that my ap is alive somewhere.

Take what you will from this, but I submitted my fall grades voluntarily on 12/29/10, only to later receive a grade request on 1/11/11, as I mentioned above.subtle wrote:I almost wish that I hadn't sent my fall grades voluntarily. Anyone else going to call them to ask to see if they've sent their decision?

That's strange. I got a 4.0 last semester so I was excite for them to see that I wasn't a total fuck-up--and that my GPA had gone up.IndyHCKM wrote:Take what you will from this, but I submitted my fall grades voluntarily on 12/29/10, only to later receive a grade request on 1/11/11, as I mentioned above.subtle wrote:I almost wish that I hadn't sent my fall grades voluntarily. I think I'm just going to wait it out, unless I get super, super antsy. So far, OK.NikaneOkie wrote:Anyone else going to call them to ask to see if they've sent their decision?

I think they'll get kind of annoyed if there's suddenly a bunch of people making calls. And I definitely want them to be in good spirits right now.NikaneOkie wrote:Anyone else going to call them to ask to see if they've sent their decision?

Re: The Forgotten- Columbia 2011
Ok just called and lost my nerve after hearing the recorded phone menu they have...
After you "press 2 for admissions" it says "If you are calling about the status of your application, please go online to the status checker (gives url). If you have a specific question about your application status, please send us an email, as we are unable to answer questions about application status over the phone." That sounds like a pretty big "don't even think about it" to me...

Maybe I am a chicken, but honestly would you've gone through with it after hearing that? Considering that the most likely scenario is that they still haven't made a decision on my app, I didn't feel like blatantly disregarding their very specific request NOT to do what I was thinking about doing was the best idea.

I'm an URM. Submitted Nov. 5. I don't know what the index is so I can't calculate it. I have a 3.7 GPA and a 150 LSAT. Lots of softs though.

Eh, I did it. We will see soon enough what they think of it I suppose. Along with this LOCI, I also provided a few updates to my resume from work I'm doing as a research assistant. The entire document was 1 page single spaced.lucylove wrote:what do you guys think about submitting a LOCI?? Does Columbia like that?

Re: The Forgotten- Columbia 2011
So last night I spoke with a 2L who is in close contact with the admissions office and he said "If you call Columbia they will say 'We can neither confirm nor deny your admittance over the phone.'" So, it sounds like even if any of us did have the guts to call and get past the automated prompts, it wouldn't do any good.

I assume you intended for this "be" to be a "but." And if so, somebody has confirmed they were admitted over e-mail? If this is correct, I'm going to e-mail them right away!NikaneOkie wrote:be we can over email? hahaIndyHCKM wrote:So last night I spoke with a 2L who is in close contact with the admissions office and he said "If you call Columbia they will say 'We can neither confirm nor deny your admittance over the phone.'"
