Waitlisted to NIU... So far 3 schools have waitlisted me NIU, Loyola and DePaul

Has anyone heard anything lately from NIU? They should be starting to review the waitlist any day now I guess... anyone in or dinged from the WL yet?

Anyone in from WL that got offered any scholarship? I have great scholarships to Kent and DePaul, but NIU is almost guaranteed graduateship for 2L and 3L if you want it... which could cover all tuition plus stipend... and I want as little debt as possible!!!

I too am waiting on the WL have not heard anything other than the email they sent about 2 weeks ago stating they would be looking about now. I am hoping to hear something soon. I will be going in offered admission. I agree, you just can't beat the tuition and graduateships.

Spoke with the Admissions Office. They do not expect pulling from the Wait List until after 2nd deposit deadline which is May 28th.

Let the waiting continue!

Ahhhh legal, that's horrible news!! I don't want to wait any longer... I don't even know if I will. Maybe I'll just decide Kent or DePaul is the one for me and be done with it.

But... I really like those graduateships. I just wish they wouldn't take so long!!

Here's hoping they get a move on things.. Thanks for posting the new info!!

I talked to admissions, and they told me that they are beginning reviewing this week. Last week I e-mailed them, and they asked for a screenshot of my current grades to show to the admissions committee. I also learned that it's not likely to get a scholarship offer this late in the cycle.

I'm not sure, but I'm thinking I'm gonna be going to Kent instead. I did ask about if people transfer in though as a 2L or 3L if they are still eligible for the graduateships/assistantships.
