How soon did you guys get your status checker? I sent in my app+fee on friday. I've been complete for awhile except for a second letter of rec that is taking unusually long to get to the LSAC. I may contact my teacher today as it's been about two weeks since she said she sent it in.

I'm hoping to get that status indicator email asap.

I've heard that they don't send out a status checker email until the application has been processed, and last week I believe they were just finishing all applications submitted over winter break. I sent out my application on 01/09 and am expecting my status checker later this week.

I was concerned beacuse I received a quick response from UW, but was waiting on a response from SU so I contacted admissions.

Nope. =/ It's just something that they send to everyone who applies as far as I can tell. I applied and was accepted last year (didn't attend for financial reasons), and they sent out a few things like this that were all OMG MAIL FROM SU that was mostly just basic info/ads.

That's not the answer I was looking for.....but I think you are correct. Still keeping my fingers crossed though! If you were accepted last year I would think your chances are pretty good.

I tried to negotiate away the 25% stip back when I was considering SU, but they were steadfast. Maybe I just wasn't competitive enough. 3.75/160

Aim higher! With that amazing LSAT, you deserve to be somewhere better or at least get more money and looser stipulation i.e. top 50% and at least 25k/year sounds more like it!

You should be able to get at least 15k/year from several T30s

SU doesn't give out more than $20,500 (Washington State Law Scholarship) unless you apply to the named scholarships or you are Native American.

This is an interesting strategy. It seems like they would have a tough time attracting top applicants when they would still have to pay 20K a year and certainly be getting better offers at higher ranked schools. That being said, I don't think they have any problems filling out their classes, and it's a big law school.

I finally received my status checker for SU! It says my file went complete on 1/11 (applied on 1/9) and a decision should be made 6-8 weeks from that date. Currently my status is File Complete - In Review so now the real waiting begins. Besides UW, where I am a very unlikely candidate, SU is my top choice.

Got my admit packet over the weekend. $17k/year, which I think is high for them, so I'm flattered. It's dependent on top 25% though, or you lose everything. Which is scary, to say the least.

They gave me the Trustee Law Scholarship, but it's only $8000 a year. I'd still be swamped with debt by the time I graduate. Meh.

Finally got my official packet. $7000/yr dependent on top 25%. Sounds pretty good beside the stipulation, percentages scare me; it all depends on how everyone does, not so much my own performance.

Any decisions today? I've heard that SU likes to update on Fridays and a quick glance through our thread would confirm that. I know that I am still a couple weeks out, but I'm always curious to see what numbers are making it in.
