That was a little offensive. My mother went here, paid off her loans a very long time ago. Never had a gab in employment, clerked after graduation and is a very successful corporate attorney now.
When your mother graduated from NYLS tuition was probably less than 10k a year...

Sent on 12/8, complete on 12/9. I did not do the optional video interview.

No it wasn't that long ago. She was a young mother and went to law school after she already had kids

Damn! I just realized I applied to the wrong school. OP's school is different than NYU, right?

Does anyone know if the invitation for an online interview is standard procedure? I got an email saying the committee would wait until January 31st for my interview before making a decision....
I'm going to make one, but was wondering if everyone gets this email...I was thinking if they liked my application so much they would want to admit me without waiting for this extra step...

I applied in early December and received a similar email saying they would wait until 12/27 to review to give time for video submissions. I went ahead and did it, and I'm glad I did. My status checker just switched to "Offer of admission with scholarship" today. My numbers are 156/3.5 but I also have 10 years work experience and an engineering degree with laser focus on IP which NYLS is strong in. Not sure what the scholarship is yet. I'll report back when I know. But definitely do the video. Checking out their website, it appears they encourage students to make videos of their work.

Yeah, the email said it was optional. My stats are 161, 3.45. I wasn't sure if its something they sent to everyone or not..

How long did everyone have to wait before hearing a decision? I got the email about the online interview, and was told I had until Feb. 11. I went and submitted it that day as to not hold up my application any longer. I hate the waiting game.

full cost of tuition but must stay in the top 15% of the class. That's a little ridiculous, I wonder if they think I'm not actually planning on going there.

I asked them for merit-aid. The dean wrote back and said I would not be offered any, but that I could take out private loans. I immediately declined and withdrew my acceptance.

2 questions:
A) How much of a scholarship should be expected here with a 158/3.95?
B) Is it even worth going to this law school with some scholly money given the job prospects and the negative overall TLS view towards this 3rd tier ripoff?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
