I was planning on waiting until I received the actual letter in the mail to formally withdraw from the other law schools I applied to. I would like to at least have something in writing before I withdraw. The Early Decision agreement we all signed does say immediately though.

PS, anybody see any PENN LAW sweatshirts?

Finally got my acceptance letter in the mail today! The mailman shoved it in my tiny mailbox though and mangled it. :( Anyway, it brought some happiness to an otherwise dismal finals week!

They mail acceptances? I thought they called everyone? Or did you get a call and this is the proof if wasn't a prank? =D

I got a call last Wednesday, then my status checker changed on Thursday, and I got the acceptance letter and a booklet about the faculty today. (But yes, this did relieve my stress that this was a prank. Haha)

And r6, I'm a she. :D

Most definitely, Texas!

I hung out with Penn friends last night / am touring the law school today. I'm really looking forward to coming here. I don't regret going to Pitt for UG, but I know I'll feel much more "in my element" at Penn.

I know, I know, but I saved enough moneys to pay sticker for Penn, which is the important thing.

Any suggestions on what to check out besides the usual, r6?

I don't know, it's kind of cold to walk around the campus. If you want some bar/food suggestions I can help. If I get in before the holiday maybe we can do a happy hour...

ETA: Law school itself is kind of small and I don't know much about it. It's not pretty now anyway because of the construction (right outside of the admission office).

Sure, we have a weekly at Mad Mex anyway. I like it better than New Deck - which is right across the street from the side door.

Whatever works. I'm around until the first week in January.

Cool, hopefully I get in Monday, and we will plan for a celebration next week for all that's around. Mad Mex it is.

Thought I'd join this thread

Got in ED. Planning on making a trip over to the other side of the country sometime before ASW, probably in February to visit the law school

Finally reporting for real

I am interesting in organizing a happy hour this week (thur.) afternoon for anyone that is in town to meet fellow admits. Interested?

Mad Mex?

If tomorrow works for more people, I could wait until ASW or whenever. My folks live just outside the city, so I can be flexible. :)

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
