Even though I knew it's way too early to expect anything, I couldn't help getting excited when I saw a huge, fat envelope from L&C in my mailbox last night. Of course, it turned out to be the viewbook and application package.

Seems like L&C could save a few trees by checking their list of prospective students to whom they're mailing apps against the list of people who've already applied.

Since I now have a spare, I might send the viewbook to my grandparents with their Christmas card. They don't even know I'm applying to LS.

And now I'm quoting myself because this just happened. Again. Another whole app & viewbook packet in the mail today. Poor trees.

This is my second time applying to L&C. I applied and was accepted during the last cycle, but I missed out on any scholarship money because of how late I sent everything in. Fingers crossed for some money this time. Good luck everyone!

Agreed, I visited with them in September and from what I remember they said that some decisions will come out before the holidays, but the majority will be after the first of the year.

I went complete 12/2, (submitted 10/1 at 12:30 am CST) so hopefully I'll hear something before the holidays. Christmas with the family is stressful enough without constantly wondering about admission.

Complete 11/16, date on status checker has updated for several consecutive days and now reads 12/9/10. Looking at LSN it seems like about the top 15-20% of their admits find out before Xmas, so I imagine that if your numbers are better than L&C's 75s you have a much stronger chance of hearing earlier (assuming you turned in the complete app before 12/1)

Snail mail, if I remember correct, but I do think several people said they got emails/calls last cycle. I know for certain that a large # of their admits are via USmail.

But on top of the email I received a package in the mail today . . . a letter with view book encouraging me to apply! WTF!?! I already applied and my application is complete. I do, however, think the package was sent late due to printing of the view book or something--the letter that accompanied was dated for November.

Oh well, I'm not running their admissions office . . .

Yes, based on L&C history of massive mail, I think we'll get our decisions the old fashioned paper way...

Wow, just received a follow up email to make sure I had received the view book and that I'd considered applying.

I never expected so much lulz from L&C's admission office
