In today. Yay for fee waivers! Definitely one of those schools I was willing to pay for regardless.
I hope they don't discount people for sending the DS version of the essay versus the unique versions.

Re: Penn 2011
Bah, I go from Duke PT finding out in 10 days to having to wait around 10 weeks for UPenn lol.
Well, while we're playing the waiting game, let me get some possible future UPenn classmates' opinion on something. At the beginning of the cycle, I was more or less sure I just wanted a JD, but the more I think about it and the more I go through my current job and the more I get scared reading about job prospects for a median student, even at UPenn, I have been strongly leaning to a JD/MBA.
Upenn's JD/MBA admissions is more or less seperate, though you submit through Wharton's application. What do you guys think of applying this year to the jd program, which I did, and IF i get in deferring for a year, and applying to the Wharton half next year? I'd do that because 1) would want more WE (3 years as opposed to 2) and 2) I just don't have stuff ready for MBA apps (essays, letters of rec).
Due to the obvious strength of the jd/mba at UPenn, not to mention that it's 3 years (read: one less year of tuition / foregone income), I think UPenn law is defacto first choice for me.
What do you guys think of that logic? A little convoluted, lol, i know.

I sent in my application and my CAS was sent in the same day. When do the status checker emails come in?

The first email I got from U. Penn had a status checker buried. I thought it was just a "we got it" email at first.NJcollegestudent wrote:I sent in my application and my CAS was sent in the same day. When do the status checker emails come in?
Does "you're in queue for review" mean I'm under review? Cause if it does, I am O.O

No it's basically the same as complete. When you go under review the status will change to "Under Committee Review"Hannibal wrote:The first email I got from U. Penn had a status checker buried. No one is UR yet, Right? Sounds like they are moving more slowly this year... last year URs started going out around 10/26.

I did not know Penn State had an ED program. I never saw that option on the application either, odd. Regardless i am not applying ED to the school.

I am assuming then this is not the thread for Penn state then? In any event, hopefully everyone gets in to the school.

Got a fee waiver and applied last night... Probably don't have the numbers for Penn, but I'd be thrilled with an acceptance.

I dunno but if any RDs go under review before me I will be annoyed. I sent my complete app in on Sept 24, a few hours after they started accepting them.r6_philly wrote:anyone under review yet?

Well then I will keep an eye out for you, since you should be the first RD to go UR. I am a week or so after you.cigrainger wrote:I dunno but if any RDs go under review before me I will be annoyed.
