Well, I don't know how other admin offices work, so maybe it isn't all that different.

According to Dean Aguilar, there are 3 people on the admissions committee each year. Himself and two profs. Each read your file and give it a yes/no/waitlist answer. If you get 2 yes answers, you're in, 2 no's, you're out. One of each and the third person reviews it and gives it the tie-breaking vote. (I can't remember how he said he dealt with the waitlist, I apologize).

He seemed to be pretty set on having a holistic approach vs. just a number's approach, but I don't know how accurate that is since I only know 1 person that's applied there.

They had been closer to mid-January prior to last year (at least for a couple years as I didn't check back too far)

Guess we'll see soon! Still not under review yet- went complete mid November

Were getting a bit closer considering 2 years ago (and before) they started rolling out around now- though I went complete mid Nov. and still not yet under review-the anticipation is awful!

Same, UR 12/20. This is starting to get ridiculous... Why can't every school have the turn around time of W&L (literally 4 days).

I've been under review for quite some time as well. At least that means we are all still in the running.

From my understanding they didn't actually begin reviewing applications until very recently, no matter what your status checker says. If the past few years are any indication i wouldn't expect to hear anything until the second week of February or so.

Just as an observation, it appears the western schools are very much slower with there admissions processes than their eastern counterparts. I would not mind so much if it were not for the fact I have seat deposits and scholarship acceptances for other schools due April 1st, as I'm sure is the case for many of you as well. So I'm definitely on the clock, which is stressful to say the least.

Heres hoping for quick responses for everyone

Mine went under review on 14 Jan. Not expecting to get in though. The username they assigned me for checking my application status is "(my name)666". I think they do that to distinguish the BYU students, ha.

I am still under review and have been for weeks now. I submitted early December. I guess they are taking their sweet time.
