Whoo! Just got my acceptance letter today. It says I should be hearing back from admissions shortly regarding more information. Great way to start off my cycle!

I got an e-mail November 5th which said, among other things "congratulations on being among the first students offered admission to the fall 2011 entering class at Marquette University Law School........A packet of information for admitted students is currently being prepared and should be on its way to you later this month."

For how many is Marquette the first choice? Are you guys applying to UW-Madison as well?

Im hoping it is sometime this week. Marquette is my top choice, I was waitlisted last cycle for the full time program, re took the LSAT and have applied for the part time this cycle due to work.

It's not my first choice, but it's high up there because of their Sports Law Program. I got the same e-mail on the same day, and waiting everyday for the packet to come in. It might take a while for me since I'm all the was in the West Coast. My biggest worry is potentially having to deal with the weather haha.

Having lived in Wisconsin for most of my life, your concern regarding the weather is not unjustified. From late November until late March, it is a frozen wasteland.

I went complete October 14th and was accepted October 30th. Hope that helps.

I went complete on Oct 14 and got accepted on 11/5 via e-mail. Still waiting on the snail mail letter (if they send one) and the package that was mentioned on my e-mail.

I received a snail mail acceptance on October 30th, an e-mail on November 5th, and a packet of materials today (deposit slip information, about the new building, a marquette law magazine, among other things). They even tailored a section of the materials to my personal statement and work experience, which was very thoughtful and a nice extra touch.

Anyone know what the job prospects are like coming out of Marquette ITE? I know UW-Madison is hurting.

The email says within 8 weeks, it seems like they're keeping it around 6 (based off last year on LSN). FWIW I went complete on 11/5. Obviously, no word yet...

I hope you're right. Two more mail delivery days in the week. MU is my first choice. It's funny, I am bummed they don't have a status checker, but all the other status checkers do is allow me, on a daily basis, to see that I have no new information. Maybe they are smart not to have one.

Got my acceptance letter today!
So excited since it is my first choice!
My stats are 3.47 upward trending GPA and a 158.

Received my "congratulations" packet earlier today. I really liked how they made reference to my work experience in their letter.

My current and permeant are the same so it came right to me.
I'd assume they'd send it to current though.

I noticed on LSN that everyone that received a letter Saturday were Wisconsin residents... so maybe I'll get one this week. My first law school decision was sent to my parents address for some reason.
