Yea, they're really slow... I'm finally "Awaiting Evaluation" at least. My LoRs only had to be walked 3 buildings down too. LOL!cmk wrote:Applied 11/22, received 11/23. Hi –
I don't know what percentage of scholarships they give out. I believe full scholarships are rare, but there may be a significantly higher percentage that receive some form of a scholarship. This would be something you may want to ask the admissions office about.

I am 1L, so some knowledge will be limited.
Good luck -
Just got my complete - awaiting evaluation status. Do you know at what range they give out scholarships?

As a 1L getting ready for finals, I have this to offer:
1) DON'T FUCKING DO IT! RUN WHILE YOU STILL CAN!
2) Most of you will be waiting long into April/May. It's best that you make peace with that now.
3) When you visit town, try RERDUM Burger. Some people will tell you that Burgers & Brew is better, don't believe them.
I'm more than happy to answer questions. Feel free to send a PM, but don't be offended if you don't get an answer until xmas break. Good luck everyone!

If they still do, they should be gone soon (or replaced).. now that the addition is complete, theyre going to completely renovate the older half of the building.Aggiegrad2011 wrote:Habit >> Murder >> In'n'Out >>>>> Jack in the Box > Crepeville's crappy Burgers and Brew.

Yes, the high school lockers are still here. They should be gone by fall 2011 though. The new wing is done, so they will start "phase 2" of the construction in the summer. This will supposedly be a complete rennovation of the old King Hall building, so hopefully it will be pretty nice. If you haven't been inside the new part of the school, get over there and check it out.Aggiegrad2011 wrote:Habit >> Murder >> In'n'Out >>>>> Jack in the Box > Crepeville's crappy Burgers and Brew.

I concur, Burgers and Brew is one of the best, if not the best, in Davis.camelcrema wrote:Aggiegrad2011 wrote:Habit >> Murder >> In'n'Out >>>>> Jack in the Box > Crepeville's crappy Burgers and Brew.

From last cycle, UCD and UCH are REALLY, REALLY slow with a looooooot of people not getting decisions - good or bad - until late in the cycle (Feb/March).

Re: UC Davis 2011
Yeah, I don't know why Davis and Hastings are so slow... but they are.
I walked over to King Hall after my last final and was poking around. I met with my pre-law advisor in the hallway briefly and she mentioned that UCD likes to see fall grades posted before sending anyone to committee. I don't know if that's just for UCD students or for everyone, but since they're SO slow for EVERYONE, I'm thinking it's the latter.

I can't believe anybody actually enjoys eating at redrum. It's the big joke amongst me and my friends, who in their mind actually goes there...guess there are people that do.
With that said, i submitted Dec 06, have been "processing" since... So i should stop checking every day and just wait until March then?

Ohhhh yeah buddy. I submitted 10/31 and was processing until ALL of my hard copy stuff came from LSAC to UCD, which was on Nov 19. And now, I am like everyone else, "Awaiting evaluation." Looking @ last cycle, most people weren't seeing decisions at all until Feb or March so... yeah... take UCD off your list of daily status checkers. I know I did. With that said, i submitted Dec 06, have been "processing" since... So i should stop checking every day and just wait until March then?

I just want to echo that y'all are in for a long ride, and be patient. I had borderline autoadmit numbers, but still thought I was going to get YPed because I hadn't heard from them until April. I was all set to pay my deposit at BU. But eventually, good things come to those who wait, and just look on the bright side:
It could be worse. You could be waiting on Hastings.

If you don't mind answering, why did you choose Davis over BU?

I wanted to work in CA. It was the right choice too - wound up with a job at a SF-area firm that does not interview at any non-CA schools.Henchman21 wrote:SBL wrote:I just want to echo that y'all are in for a long ride, and be patient.
