I applied to Cardozo January admission. For some reason, at the bottom of the online staus checker theres a box with "Future LSAT registration" left unchecked, although my application says complete and under review. Anyone w same problem?

I am pretty sure it means that you have indicated on your application that you will not be (re)taking the LSAT in the future.

I applied Ed to nyu, so I will know by mid-December. If I don't get in or am deferred, I will be attending Cardozo.

Mind if I ask why you wouldn't consider Fordham?

I'm 33 -- Though I applied (and will probably get in) to Fordham, and they'd both be essentially free (GI Bill+Yellow Ribbon), the extra year I save on the Dozo January program means a lot to me. I'm not going to be coming out with debt (I'll be actually sitting on some cash), so I'm not even really looking for BigLaw. If I go to NYU, then it's another story, still no debt, but a lot more doors opened up...

I'm 2.9 164 from a smalltown in Oklahoma-- NDN with tribal docs. I keep getting mail from Cardozo but I'm worried that there won't be much diversity there (which is why they want me..).

Can you all give me an idea of the breakdown? I'm specially intrested if over half of the students are Jewish. Thanks for any help.

I don't think the percentage of Jewish students is anywhere near 50%, but if you are not comfortable with Jewish students and you do not respect the fact that this is a Jewish founded institution then you probable should not apply.

Cardozo has a lot of Jews b/c it's parent school is a traditionally Jewish school. Besides Jews though I think Cardozo has a reputation of being pretty diverse. If you're worried about a bunch of wasps from the northeast you shouldn't be.

Thanks for your help. No I'm not afraid of being around all one group I would just prefer a diverse group. I try to avoid group think and if over half of the students were jewish, morman, athiests, raegan look-a-likes whatever, I wouldn't want to go to school there.

Yea that's the case unless you go to some of the predominately black law schools. My earlier post meant that Cardozo isn't almost all WASPs

I just applied there a minute ago. I send the rest of my apps almost a month ago but finally dragged myself through the mud and shortened my PS to 2 pages for Cardozo and applied.
I hope it's not too late for me because of my numbers!

I had to stalk you on LSN to find your numbers just right now haha, I'm excited for the cycle I'm glad i'll have a number twin for moral support. My mother has been prodding at me to apply to a school on the East Coast so I applied here, though i'd ultimately love to stay in Cali....

Hey, there's nothing to say you won't be able to get back to California from Cardozo or anywhere else, you just might have to work a bit harder / earn your stripes for a little longer than someone else!

I'm a 2.93, 169 splitter.
