I also have some friends from Lexington and have visited a number of times. I would prefer Lexington to Williamsburg out of personal preference. I think that they are both fantastic schools and W&M does offer in state tuition.
Keep in mind I am saying this without knowing my LSAT score, in a couple weeks you might find me on the "Appalachian Applicants 2011" thread singing their praises...
Thanks for the insight. I was accepted to W&L for undergraduate but turned it down to attend a lower ranked school so I could come out debt free. Since I want to work in Pittsburgh after law school I am afraid I will end up turning it down again (if I even get accepted) to attend Pitt which owns the city from what I hear. Lexington is beautiful though. This whole process is ridiculous. Best of luck on getting the LSAT score you want!

Ah! I was out all day and checking on my phone, so I didn't notice the date change on my own. Thanks for pointing that out. Hmm. Pass a cookie?

Eep! Just got an "In Review" email from W&L and my status checker's changed. According to the email "You will more than likely have a decision from our office in the next three to four weeks".
I wonder if I can keep my fingers crossed for 3-4 weeks...

Maybe it was just a fluke. Did you get the In Review e-mail today?

I just called and he said they review in batches by strength. Which is really good news for all of you! For example, they will look at applicants with atleast 1 part of their application (either GPA or LSAT) at or over their 75th percentile and then work their way down. Good luck!

W & L was never really one of my top picks but seriously their speed and openness in communications to applicants makes me like them a whole lot more. They've always been so quick and honest when I've asked questions... it's awesome. If I get in, I'm definitely going to visit and give it a look.

So during my round of obsessive status checking today, I noticed a new thing on my W&L status checker - under "Fees", I now have listed "First Tuition Deposit" and "Second Tuition Deposit" underneath "No Application Fee Assessed". Do we think this means anything? Status is still "In Review"...... (My UMaine status checker has the same thing). I guess those could have been there before, but I hadn't noticed them. Anyone else have the same??
