Unless you count Cornell EA to RD as a waitlist. It has been a rough cycle, but I am starting to accept my T20 prospects, and hoping for a little T14 magic. I cannot wait for this all to be a bad memory.

That sucks....

I am still confused how we are supposed to handle waitlists. If I am in at BU and WL at UCLA (just an example I know I am not getting off that waitlist) do I get an apartment in Boston and move cross country only to come back? How long before we should give up? July?

Think I applied to the right number of schools, maybe a few too many safeties/reaches and not enough targets. Problem is, geography limited me (no point in applying to a target if you don't even want to go to that state). Got into one of my solid targets, and rejected at two target/reaches. MIA at 2 safeties and two reaches (one of which I think I'm actually being considered for). All in all a good cycle, but nothing surprising.

I'm not giving up till school starts lol. I would wait to get an apt. till like june, it just depends though i have no idea.

I quit my full-time job in December '08 to finish my BA and go to law school. I wish I had sat aside a thousand dollars for law school admission expenses. As it was, I had to rely a lot on borrowed/pirated test prep materials which may have been unreliable. At any rate, I didn't always have what I needed when I needed it.

I took my eye off the ball over the summer in a big way, which probably cost me 3 or 4 LSAT points. I really should have written down a study schedule and stuck with it. Also, all of my application essays should have been done before the fall semester started. They weren't.

Barring all of that, I should have applied to some more target schools, although I'm happy with my acceptances so far, had I been more strategic in my applications, I'd be in a better chance to negotiate merit aid right now.

I have been told that I will not be getting screwed by the adcomms, and I would have never considered CCN for personal reasons anyway.

I'm looking at 4/0/0/4. My guess is I will go 5/3, maybe 6/2 if GULC bites (admit/reject ratio). Not too bad.

I think that if a person really does their homework and knows where they want to end up, their odds of getting into places, etc., then 8-10 applications is a pretty good number. I felt like 8 allowed me to shoot for some realistic reaches (Duke, Georgetown, and Michigan), some solid targets (Vanderbilt, UIUC, WUSTL, Cornell), and a random oddball (BU). I feel like if I had applied to 12 or more I would have been really wasting my money.

Obviously being a splitter, having a unique story, or getting an LSAC fee waiver would encourage a person to apply to more schools, but those of you who applied to 20 schools when your numbers were pretty telling of your chances really baffle me. Must be nice to have lots of expendible cash.

I would like to forget everything from this cycle haha. I'm holding out hope for one of the waitlists, but I think I've got to retake the LSAT.

As a sidenote: I used to think people were being dramatic when they would say how brutal this whole process can be. Now, I think they were absolutely right.

I decided that it would be better to be broke than to wonder "what if" besides, if im going in debt for law school anyways, what is 2k more to make sure i got into the best school for me.
Im looking at 12:3:4:3.
