Anyone know ballpark numbers for a significant scholarship? Above both 75ths in decent shape?

Yes usually, but you also have to examine NC resident status as UNC must have a significant majority of in state students within its class.

They told me residency plays NO part in scholarship considerations...True or false? (aside from the fact that obviously its going to be harder to get into in state).

Shows the schollies, surprised at the amount of above full tuition they provide... I wonder if the majority goes to out of state residents?

Edit: Looks like 90% of the schollies go to URM's based off lawschoolnumbers...

heh, UNC adcoms also regularly tell people that being out of state plays NO part in admission considerations...

Application received Nov 9th, complete with in-state residency Dec 4th. We live in Durham, and I want to practice in the Triangle, so an acceptance there would be amazing! :D

That said, it is frustrating that UNC sends its acceptances out so late! I got my first acceptances in late Oct/early Nov (UTK and W&L) and I have to say, that kind of consideration from a school makes a really good impression.

I wonder what exactly 'after Christmas' means. The day after? Week after? Middle of January? Guess we will just have to wait and find out.

According to LSN, decisions began rolling out middle of February.

I went complete on 12/10... OOS... here is to the long wait.

I did just get accepted to UGA OOS today... hopefully, UNC will look at me as favorably.

I'm certainly in the right thread. I had no idea no one else had heard. What elaboration do you want?

Numbers, to start. URM? In state/OOS? When did you apply?

Last year no one heard on LSN until *FEB.* 13: http://unc.lawschoolnumbers.com/applica ... er=asc&p=2
The year before that it wasn't until FEB. 18:
http://unc.lawschoolnumbers.com/applica ... r=desc&p=1

And in several conversations and at open houses there are reports of Dean States telling people they won't hear until "after Christmas".

so... what's the story?

I find this very hard to believe. Their website says they only give decisions via regular mail.

Wow, congrats!

Would you consider yourself an auto-admit, per se?

Me? Auto-admit? I have a strong application, but i don't consider myself an auto-admit anywhere. 166/3.64.
