Re: UC Hastings 2010!!!
I've added $20 to my Clipper card via online. I'm aware it can take up to 72 hours for the value to get updated. My question is how do I "tag" my card? My e-mail notification says "Your card balance will not be updated until you have tagged your card and loaded the value." Anyone know?

Section 5'ers:
Does anyone know if Dodge has a Fall 2010 syllabus available? All I'm finding is the Spring 2010 syllabus for Contracts.
Also, is there a syllabus available for Jung (Torts)? On the faculty website, instead of a link to the class website, it says he uses TWEN (which I understand to just be for taking tests, or does it have course materials on it?).

Speaking of TWEN, I can't even sign up for an account because you apparently need a card with a password on it from the school. I'm pretty sure I'm not supposed to have this yet.

Re: UC Hastings 2010!!!
I searched Hasting's site for TWEN and the short guide made it seem like it is only for exams, so it's likely something we'll sort out later in the semester. Nothing indicated that it's a place where we could find course materials, at least as far as I could tell.a male human wrote:Speaking of TWEN, I can't even sign up for an account because you apparently need a card with a password on it from the school. I see. My Civil Procedure professor told us to sign up for an account because he'll be sending us information through it. Sounds like something I'll have to hold off on until class starts.Great Satchmo wrote:I searched Hasting's site for TWEN and the short guide made it seem like it is only for exams, so it's likely something we'll sort out later in the semester. Well, after a bit more searching it looks like there is definitely more than just exams on TWEN. I went to the website to sign-up but it asks for a WestLaw password that is on our Westlaw card. I assume we won't get this until orientation.a male human wrote:I see. My Civil Procedure professor told us to sign up for an account because he'll be sending us information through it. Yes, TWEN is part of Westlaw. You'll get your Westlaw password at orientation.a male human wrote:I see. My Civil Procedure professor told us to sign up for an account because he'll be sending us information through it. Sounds like something I'll have to hold off on until class starts.
"Tagging" your card is when you use it to enter a fare-gate by touching it to the sensor on the gate. In other words, Clipper cards don't autoload until you are actually attempting to use them to make a trip.I've added $20 to my Clipper card via online. I highly recommend Clipper cards for anyone riding BART, btw! I used mine all last year (well, the BART equivalent that has now become Clipper) and it was the best thing ever. I'm sure it's also awesome for MUNI but I haven't tried that out yet since MUNI only recently started accepting Clipper cards.

Tried "tagging" it to the gate, got a pretty red light. Guess that's a no-go. I'll try using it again sometime later this week.

Does each topic have a 100-page limit?

Doubt it. But that brings me to one question, which is how long do you guys plan to keep posting here? Before page empties out of active people, I may have to start adding some of you to a friend list.

I was in the dining room while you guys were talking about Cameron Diaz. At one point, we had a momentary pause in our convo and one of you guys shouted "The hottest woman EVER!!!". It was so perfectly timed and awesome.

Does anyone know when we are actually able to use westlaw/ lexis? After the 1st memo? I tried fiddling around with it, but it doesn't let me.

Oh that's right, they don't work right away. If I recall correctly, they are not supposed to work until after the first memo is due, but I think ours were activated before that.LizBennet wrote:Does anyone know when we are actually able to use westlaw/ lexis? I talked a bit to the admissions fellow at their office, and he said that this class has 383 students, median LSAT is the same, and the GPA went up
FWIW
