About how long after the decision was reached did they e-mail you? Over in the Denver thread, some people were notified within 24 hours, while others waited days--and all were accepted.sailgclass wrote:b.j. wrote:Do they ever accept people but only notify them over regular snail mail? I didn't get notified over email. I just saw through the status checker that a decision had been sent out. I got my acceptance in the mail later.b.j. wrote:Do they ever accept people but only notify them over regular snail mail? Then I guess there's still come hope! How soon after it was mailed did it reach you? And where you do you live?cariberry wrote:I didn't get notified over email. Considering the fact that I haven't gotten a call and it's near the end of the admissions cycle, should I expect a waitlist/rejection letter or is there still hope?
Mine also changed from complete on 2/19 to decision reached; notification pending on 3/24...I'm pretty sure its a waitlist/rejection though.

The email came around mid day if I remember correctly.

The last time I checked this status checker was around 3:30-4:00 today. It said what it said for the last two or three weeks, which was application complete. I am not sure what time it changed, but when I got home at 11:00, it was different.

I don't know why I am thinking about this so hard. I am almost certainly being rejected. But like I said in another thread, I just want to find out already, you know?

Because I was wait listed at W&M and thought I had even less of a chance there than W&L. Based on everyone's numbers, it sounds like it could easily go either way so, again, I'll let you all know today (I'm assuming I'll get it today).b.j. wrote:Any particular reason why you are feeling more hopeful?NYVA311 wrote:I'm feeling a bit more hopeful about the 3/24 batch. Good for you, man. I was kind of hoping that [knock on wood] I'd be able to tell everyone an amusing story of how I applied to a much higher ranked school just to see if the small chance in hell would translate into anything and that it did, despite the fact that I got dinged at lower ranked schools, like Villanova. I wish there were some rhyme or reason to the way e-mail decisions were dispersed here, but that doesn't seem to be case, which oddly still gives me hope until I see that letter in a pile of mail.NYVA311 wrote:Because I was wait listed at W&M and thought I had even less of a chance there than W&L. I'll be there mid-July, so at least we'll all be bored together.SpaceDawg wrote:I think orientation starts in mid-August. At least they did last year. I will probably be around Lex mid to late July because I don't leave my job until then. I will definitely want to celebrate the little amount of freedom we have left before school starts.

No letter today - will be in Richmond this weekend so probably won't be able to report back. I'm sure it'll come within the next few days for everyone. Good luck!

Checked my status checker, it says the whole decision reached thing and indicates a letter was sent on 3/24.
My numbers put W&L as a reach and I had a really nice LOR from an alum, but I am fully expecting a rejection.

I'm going to make a last minute plan to go to the ASW next weekend, does anybody know if they're full or if they have a limit?

On the admitted students facebook it says they still have spots, but I believe that was posted a few days ago. I would just call now.adh07d wrote:I'm going to make a last minute plan to go to the ASW next weekend, does anybody know if they're full or if they have a limit?

Can I, at least one more time, complain about the process of receiving decisions? Why are some schools holding out on status checkers? Why do some refrain from telling you your decision online? I know there's really no great need for coordination, but it would make waiting a little easier.MBZags wrote:Pretty sure no one gets a call.b.j. wrote:Does everyone get a call if they admit you?pja123 wrote:My status checker for W&L just changed to "Decision reached; notification pending."

I hope to get the letter tomorrow--well, I would have liked it today, but that didn't happen--just so I can know. I'm expecting a rejection, because it was a big reach for me, but I still have a some hope/delusional fantasy that I will be accepted or wait listed. I don't understand how it can take a letter so long to get from one part of the country to the next. An extra day or so if it's coming from California or Texas to New York, sure, but a full week or longer? WTF is the holdup?
