No, it doesn't. I was accepted and just checked my status checker again, and there is nothing listed under Fees.

hey everyone, i've got a question. sorry if it's already been asked. i logged into agora to check on financial aid, and under documents they received, it has the fafsa and need access. but on top of that, there's a box that says required documents, which has listed law validation form, IRS 1040, and w-2. do they actually want me to mail them copies of my tax returns and w-2s? and what's the law validation form? in the acceptance letter it only has instructions about need access and fafsa. thanks! :)

This exact question was asked and answered just one day ago. You don't need to send in the validation form, W-2 or tax return in order to get a financial aid package. You would just need to send that stuff in if you choose to accept the offer so they can confirm everything.

That wouldn't be fair. App deadline was March 1. All those accepted should be considered for merit aid. I very much doubt BC law has gone through every single app so far.

If this was true, I'd expect a "apply by _____ to be considered for merit aid" deadline.

Well, schools often run out of money for later applicants and thus people with similar numbers that apply late ending up getting less. That being said, no I think BC has really just started to send out offers and will continue to do so over the next 2 weeks or so.

well, looking at LSN I'd say BC has just started to hand out merit awards (the big ones). Like an above poster said, my understanding is that merit awards are supposed to roll out in the next couple weeks. As for the portal, I could be wrong but I think this was for showing your financial award in terms of need-based aid and loans? (maybe merit aid too, not sure). Either way, I think I read this was supposed to be updated in the next couple/few days. I'm not even sure if they've started updating the accounts yet. hope that helps a little!

With those numbers I would have to say you have a pretty good shot. Good luck!

I sent them a hand signed note on letter head expressing my continued interest in addition to their green form. I love BC/BU

Waitlisted yesterday...162/3.8. It was a long shot so I'm not too disappointed.

Anyone know how we'd be contacted for merit awards? Email? Snailmail? Portal?

Oh yeah? Good to know. Gonna start checking my email even more compulsively than usual since BC is my only realistic option that hasn't gotten back to me about scholarship at this point.

Bogart, was that just for the Public Service Award or something else? I got my rejection for the PS scholarship today and, though I've also been offered an "Alumni" scholarship, it kind of takes BC out of the running for me. Bummer.

I got a merit scholarship email this morning (just called a "Law School Scholarship", for 20k) and then also got the rejection email for the PS scholarship this afternoon.

So I almost had a heart attack when a 617 phone number called me this evening at 6:15 PM ( ?). I called the number back but it looks like someone just called the wrong number. FML.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
