I got offered an interview with a Ms. Grace Cleveland. What does this mean and how can I prepare?

Congrats, this is your admission interview! I had mine with Grace Cleveland in October. It was over the phone and she was really sweet. The whole thing felt conversational and casual. Just be prepared to talk about why you'd like to go to UVA, what you imagine your ideal career trajectory might look like (you don't need anything super concrete for this) and what spurred your interest in law. Show that you've done your homework and know about what makes UVA exceptional, too.

Grace is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Just relax and enjoy it. It means they are really interested in you and want to get to know you better.

Agree. Biggest piece of advice would be to have a lot of questions for them prepared (beyond what I would deem customary).

It was fairly egregious. It showed up as "I will happy to do so" rather than "I will be happy to do so". I was typing on my phone and the "be" didn't register apparently.

Realistically she probably didn't notice it (our brains fill in words we're expecting to read quite often). You need to chill man

I know it sucks but don't worry too much, it's not bad. It took me a few readings over to catch it, you just forgot a word. It's not like your phone changed a word to something nonsensical or it was misspelled.

Just don't make the same mistake while you're speaking in your actual interview. (Although, tbf I had a coughing fit in the middle of mine, so... that went well. Whatever, they let me in.)

While I haven't interviewed at UVA, I can speak to my experience with Georgetown. I also felt my alumni interview on Skype was a bit rushed. However, I got an acceptance a week letter and the handwritten note mentioned a high recommendation from my interviewer. I don't think you should be worried. I'm sure you nailed it.

p.s. I hope you remembered to mention lula43 is patiently waiting to hear from them re: interviewing. haha!

Exact opposite of my experience. I had Chris Colby - favorite interview of this cycle. He was super cool and easy to talk to. Our interview lasted about 50 minutes (I was expecting 20).

nbd there was a huge typo in my application which I only found afterwards. No way it's as bad as mine.
