No idea on chances, but they generally aren't going to start considering waitlist candidates for admissions until after the seat deposit and they know for sure how many regular admits are actually planning on enrolling.
Exactly what I heard from them:

I hope this e-mail finds you well.

Please note that notifying Waitlist applicants usually occur in late July/August up until the first day of classes. The earliest you will likely hear is after our first deposit deadline (May 1st).

To aid in your decision, you may call or visit our office to speak with an Admissions Counselor for advisement.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Any advice? Should I call them?

Has anyone had their profile change (i.e. LSAT score went up, new performance evaluation, broke the NBA 3-pt record, etc) while waitlisted AND
been reconsidered? I had a substantial jump on my LSAT that bumps me into much more "admitable" territory and I want to know if others have received a different decision.

Georgetown doesn't officially say much as to who and how they choose to interview (though they do say it's to get to know applicants they wish to take a closer look at). With that said, the general consensus seems to be, that one will be granted an interview if they are one or more of the following:

1) Someone has great scores. So good in fact, that Georgetown would consider YP them. But before they decide to do that, they interview the person to gauge their interest in the school, and as to whether they will actually go if extended an acceptance.

2) Borderline (stats) students are granted interviews as well. This is done so that the university can learn that one last piece about an applicant they are having trouble deciding on, in order to make a decision.

3) Geographical location: Sometimes, interviews are just granted based on convenience. If you live near an alumnus, or if the Dean of Admissions will be group interviewing in your area, they might extend you an interview just because you're "in the area." However, it must be stated that this being the sole reason for receiving an interview seems unlikely.
I had the chance to speak to Andy yesterday briefly and asked him how they choose who to interview, and he said it is the borderline types like you noted (albeit in different words, of course)

That makes a lot of sense. I can't imagine a DoA admitting to YP interviews. I was direct admit w/o an interview request, even though I live in Baltimore, just an hour drive or train to the campus, so I also agree that strict Geographic Location interview request is unlikely.

Yeah I worded that poorly, what he said was something like "just not totally certain" or something like that which would apply to both YP and iffy numbers. (I meant on the borderline like the border of admission types)

Exactly. In the meat of my post, I say that YP worries and/or Geographical location could warrant an interview. Nothing is certain. Other factors include when you applied as well. Generally speaking, YP and Borderline students tend to get interviews, and geographical location tends to influence whether people belonging to one of those groups actually receives an interview. Geographic location/timing also tends to influence whether you get a group interview, or an alumni one, if you do get an interview.

And on an aside, YP students DO get group interviews from the DoA. I had a few people in my group interview with crazy high stats (way above 75% for GULC) that got into the ASW a few days after the group interview.

I have my interview next Monday (stats are pretty borderline, not surprised) and am nervous! Seat deposits for other schools are starting to come up so I worry that I won't hear back in time :(

Should I be worried that I haven't heard anything, no interview request/emails? I applied the first week of January.

Yeah, I got an interview request two weeks ago and heard nothing until Tuesday when the admissions office was telling me that they were reassigning my interview because the alum hadn't responded. So, here we are three days later and still nothing. Ugh.

I haven't heard anything either. Everyone says no news is good news, but it doesn't make this any easier.

I know this question has been addressed in previous year's threads, but has anyone else's recommenders received an email from Georgetown thanking them for their insight into the candidate? My Recommender received the email last week and I haven't heard anything good/bad since but I'm assuming I'm in review right now...

Ugh, so frustrating. I was preferred waitlisted too but people with my exact same stats got admitted... I'm wondering what about my application package wasn't convincing enough for them

Similar. Foreign GPA, but had LSAT above their 75th. I really wonder what's going on here.

I would recommend checking out the class threads page for GULC (http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 6&t=258578). Someone mentioned that they called the office, and they said scholly offers are going to start coming out early this week.
